Our vision: In the future, every CT will be a photon-counting CT. Since 2021, NAEOTOM Alpha has been transforming clinical practice and helping radiologists make a decisive difference in the lives of patients with profound insights that are unattainable with conventional CT technology (1). Muhammad Taha Hagar, radiologist at University Medical Center Freiburg, Germany, talks about his game-changing experiences with photon-counting CT. Now the story of this technology continues. See for yourself at #RSNA2024. #photoncounting #CT #innovation #technology #inthefutureeveryCTwillbephotoncounting (1) data on file, example: Photon-counting CT resulted in CAD-RADS re-classification in 17.4% of cases, Wolf et al., 2023

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗥𝗜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟯𝗗 𝗣𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 Around 40% of women over 70 suffer from pelvic organ prolapse, leading to issues like urinary and faecal incontinence. Traditional diagnostic methods fall short, examining patients lying down despite symptoms occurring while standing. Enter the standing MRI scanner, exclusively available at the TechMed Centre - University of Twente. Anique Bellos-Grob, researcher and technical medicine expert at the University of Twente, highlights the importance of standing MRI scans in accurately evaluating pelvic floor issues. This innovative approach enables better assessment of treatments, reducing recurrence risk and enhancing patient outcomes. Moreover, the pioneering work extends to 3D pelvic floor imaging, aiming for personalised healthcare to become standard practice. #Women’sHealth #MedicalInnovation TechMed Centre - University of Twente | University of Twente | ZGT Read more in this article (Dutch) by Martine Mous, ICT&health no.1

Extract MR protocols from images by drag & drop Did you know? You can easily extract MRI protocols by simply dragging and dropping a DICOM image into the measurement queue on your MR scanner. With Phoenix you just click, drag, and instantly replicate protocols (TR, TE, bandwidth, number of slices, echo spacing, etc.) Why Phoenix? - Reproducibility, e.g., for patient follow-up. - Optimization: share protocols on the different MAGNETOM systems you work with. - Standardization: achieve multi-center protocol standardization. Explore the vast collection of DICOM images from various systems and all aspects of MRI at https://lnkd.in/ezvVR3En #magnetomworld #MRI Siemens Healthineers

We are excited to announce that Pro Health Saúde in Brazil is the first institution to acquire the innovative NAEOTOM Alpha photon-counting CT scanner. This milestone marks an important step for the region, as the NAEOTOM Alpha is the first photon-counting CT scanner to be installed in Latin America. This device represents a quantum leap in CT imaging, offering a range of benefits over conventional CT scanners, including: 🌟 Unprecedented image quality: The NAEOTOM Alpha provides images with up to 45% less noise and up to 20% more resolution, allowing for more detailed visualization of anatomical structures. 🌟 Reduced radiation dose: The NAEOTOM Alpha can significantly reduce the radiation dose by up to 80% compared to conventional CT scanners, while maintaining image quality. This is particularly beneficial for pediatric patients and patients requiring multiple CT scans. 🌟 Expanded clinical applications: The features of the NAEOTOM Alpha go beyond traditional applications, enabling more advanced procedures with double the quality in each acquired image. Congratulations to Pro Health Saúde, which today becomes a benchmark in cutting-edge technology that will allow them to provide patients with the most advanced and accurate CT images available, leading to better diagnoses, treatment planning, and patient outcomes. #SiemensHealthineers #Innovations #LatinAmerica #CT Chang Maurice Philipp Fischer Armando C.
