Our advent calendar for 2024 is here to give you an overview of Fashion Industry Roles & Responsibilities - behind every door is a job description, specifically related to the Fashion Industry.🧑🎄🎁 #FashionAdvent #CareerChange #FashionCareers 🎄Behind Door Number 9 - Account Manager Within Fashion a Sales Manager and an Account Manager are two distinct roles within a business, and while there may be some overlap in responsibilities, their primary focuses differ. Following on from yesterday's post on a Sales Manager, who is managing new business development and customer relationships, today we are looking at an Account Manager, who will manage relationships rather than drive new business. ⭕Client Relationships: The primary focus of an account manager is to nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients. This involves understanding the client's needs, ensuring client satisfaction, and serving as the main point of contact between the client and the company. ⭕Project Management: Account managers often work closely with various internal teams to ensure that client projects are delivered on time and meet the client's expectations. They may coordinate with sales, marketing, and production teams. ⭕Client Growth: While a fashion sales manager is more focused on acquiring new customers, an account manager is typically responsible for growing existing accounts. This involves identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities. ⭕Problem Resolution: Account managers are often tasked with resolving any issues or concerns that clients may have. They need strong communication and problem-solving skills to address client needs effectively. In summary, an account manager is focused on maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients. If you have more questions on the role of Sales or Account Manager, please get in touch, if you have a passion for digital, we have an ecommerce role under tomorrows door.
