Welcome to another People at the Center coaching moment. I'm Kim Carpenter, and today we're talking about delegating. Now, delegating can feel challenging. Often my clients will say, well, I can get it done faster if I just sit down and do it. But if you look at all of the things that start to pile up when you're not delegating, it's actually way more efficient and effective for you to give that task over to someone else. You want to set them up for success by actually giving them full 100% responsibility for the task. And also for reporting progress back to you, this is going to help you also feel more relaxed about giving them the task when you know that, let's say weekly on Monday morning, they're going to report back to you on how the progress is going. Think about all of the different aspects that you can hand over to the person and what do you need to do to set it up so that you feel comfortable delegating and that they feel accountable and responsible.
