As I get ready to attend the upcoming IFSA Global Expo in California, I can’t help but reflect on how far both the event and our company have come 50 years later.
My first experience at IFSA was back in the late ‘70s when my father, the founder of Calvetti Meats, would bring me along as though it were a vacation. Back then, the atmosphere was a bit different - perhaps more focused on entertainment than industry development. But one thing that has remained constant is the importance of being there, close to the action.
Attending IFSA year after year has shown me the value of staying connected to our partners and the industry as a whole. It’s more than just a trade show; it’s where we learn, network, and innovate. The industry may have evolved, and trends have certainly changed, but the need to be present and engaged hasn’t. It’s this involvement, getting to know our clients and their needs, that keeps Calvetti at the forefront of airline catering and food innovation.
For us, attending IFSA isn’t just about showcasing our latest products—it’s about continuing the legacy of a business built on relationships, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. Being present, whether at a global expo or in the day-to-day details of our operation, is what allows us to stay ahead in a competitive space.
Join us at the IFSA (International Flight Services Association) Global Expo October 28-30 in Long Beach, California! Visit our booth #757 to learn more about what we've been cooking up, or schedule an appointment by contacting Jamie@JCMeats.com.
