Employees often prefer work-from-home (WFH) or hybrid work models for various reasons: 1-To care for their aging parents. 2-To be more present for their only child. 3-To spend more quality time with their spouse instead of flatmates. 4-To maintain strong social connections in their hometown. 5-To save money and invest rather than spending it all on daily commuting and living expenses. 6-To avoid the stress of traffic and utilize their spare laptop for meetings. Despite these preferences, many companies enforce strict on-site work policies, requiring employees to log in and out at specific times. This raises the question: Why does location matter if employees can deliver quality work without affecting productivity?
