Perenco CCS (Carbon Storage) is mid preparation for a CO₂ injection test on the Leman 27H platform. The workover programme has now been completed, converting a shut-in gas producer to a CO₂ injector, with support from the Petrodec Haeva rig and contractors. They are just starting now to work over a whale or a new completions designed for CO2 injection. Is channeled in project and will be the first time as we've done in the UK. Is going to be very exciting to see that the completion we have designed is actually achieving the result it has been designed for. But we are in the in the middle of the preparation of our injection test. It's a it's an exciting period. The first operational step is the work over on the on the well. The work over is the intervention on the well in which you are doing everything, such as recovering all completion or running a new one. This is the ivory. The rig is a vitriolic. Itas been you use for several Project whisper and co we a spetcher deck. Are mainly specialised in decommissioning to big milestone for us because then we are the first one was approved safety case for garbage storage support. The well was originally a gas producer and with the depletion of the reservoir, we're now going to convert this well into a CO2 injection carbon capture. This well was producing gas from 1984 to 2019. In this world, a specific completion design for Gaza production and now we are replacing by a new completion that has been specifically designed for CO200 contest at the end of the year. The key stages over the previous weeks was to kill the well, cut the existing tubing and recover the existing completion. Then we had the addition of the World War cleanup and currently we are running the lower completion. In terms of equipment, they have been all prepared onshore. Are going to run packer fibre optique Cable Connecting Everything to the surface. Means a 200 tubings to to assemble together. For this book over, we are installing sensors all the way from surface down to the reservoir level that is about two kilometers. This is acquiring data every second. We will use this data to understand how the CO2 is changing in the reservoir. We want to be sure that the world is working as per design. You also need to to check your sensors so you you. And then the elder is going to come along. So this is a platform with enough deck space to accommodate the full CO2 injection spread. We also preparing the training for the people to deal with the liquid CO2, because the setup we have is quite unique. That's the plan for the mobilization of the air. We are quite confident now that we have injectivity in the world. We are going to be The Pioneers of a lot of these methods. Possible helicopter contracts could be tendered by Viaro Energy, following Shell’s recent decision to sell them eleven offshore gas fields in the Southern North Sea, along with the associated Bacton Gas Terminal in Norfolk. The Southern North Sea gas fields are among the earliest offshore hydrocarbon drilling sites in the UK. Development began after onshore gas discoveries in the Netherlands, in 1959, indicated that adjacent UK waters might be equally promising. It’s common practice for the largest oil and gas companies, with the greatest capacity to initially open and develop these fields, then to sell them on to smaller companies once they reach maturity. These companies can, in turn, then operate in these areas more efficiently, with fewer overheads, maximising returns from the ageing fields. Shell (and their Dutch JV NAM) currently service the offshore SNS fields from Norwich in the UK and Den Helder in the Netherlands with AW139 aircraft provided by NHV Group. This contract is due to be retendered next year (2025) and could see a wide variety of operators competing for the work. Given the concerns of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), in recent years about the competitiveness of the UK offshore rotorcraft operator market, it is interesting to see that there should be a robust selection of operators competing for business. Considering the recent trend by the operator, refocusing on the oil & gas activities, this is a welcome news, since oil & gas should not be demonized, but actually, made it more sustainable.
