Hi! If we haven’t met yet, I’m Lux founder and CEO of somedays. I spent 15 years being dismissed by doctors, even though severe period pain impacted every aspect of my life, from school and work to infertility and my mental health. Frustrated with the lack of resources and options available to me, I launched somedays out of my apartment during the pandemic. Our brand and team has grown exponentially since then and we have been educating the world about endometriosis and pain relief, transforming how people manage period pain. Somedays has reached over three billion people with our viral activations to raise awareness (that’s a lot of people talking about periods!). Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women (and people with periods) worldwide. But despite being excruciatingly painful and debilitating, it takes an average of seven to 15 years to get diagnosed because it’s so commonly overlooked by medical professionals. As part of Endometriosis Awareness Month this March, I’m trying to get in front of as many audiences as possible to spread the word and help people get diagnosed faster, and in turn, the appropriate care. No one should suffer as I have. I’m a passionate and knowledgeable speaker, well-known in the endo community for my patient advocacy and awareness campaigns.
