Today marks an important #menstrualequity milestone in Canada. Thanks to the efforts of SMEC and our #periodequity colleagues, as of today, federally-regulated workplaces across the country are required to provide free menstrual products to their team members. This will impact close to half a million Canadians who work at banks, airports, postal, communications offices and Indigenous self governments. Smart comments from colleagues Rachel Ettinger, MBA and Meghan White in this CBC coverage. PS: there is a Canadian women and immigrant-led brand providing sustainable options including commercial dispensers available, our friends at joni® 21st-Century Period Care!
