Dearest #JKUATPAUGrad2024 Graduands, Hii ni yenu...On Wednesday 12th June, 2024 at 1400hrs to 1600hrs we will host a webinar on The Career Launchpad 1.0: Empowering Graduands for Success. By focusing on professional development, career exploration, and personal empowerment, the webinar seeks to empower graduands to confidently navigate the job market, pursue rewarding opportunities, and realize their full potential.

Whenever the VC or the person leading the graduation proceedings says those words '"your journey with us (ARU) doesn't end at graduation", I can't count the amount of scepticism I received in the last two weeks with the complain that when "you have kicked me out of my emails even before graduation". But I always refer to people like Dr Charles Nwachukwu as an example of the fact that the university still welcomes you staying connected. In fact, the Nigerian alumni is the most active in the university. So, I'm glad for this post that explain the process of how the journey does not end with graduation. It is a joy and pride of any university to say "that's my product excelling in her career". So, its only a reasonable thing for the journey not to end at graduation. I think this will be our next agenda on the section that focuses on ARU Supports at our weekly check-in calls (an example of which is here: https://lnkd.in/ezQPAysm) If you see me act like one crazy 'publicity secretary' for ARU, it's not because the university pays me a penny for that (thank God for Race Equality Advocate and SHoKE recently), it's rather because I see a wide gap between the great things the university does that makes it ranked by HESA (2023) 29th (out of 103) on research quality (which is quite remarkable) to what the students see that makes it ranked 101st and 117th (out of 130) on student satisfaction and continuation. That's a huge gap, which I don't just like to watch but do my bit in filling

Inauguration of the first Career Guidance Center in Nepal

[Preparing Students for Their Careers, Unpad's Career Development Center Hosts Angie Kamath from NYU] [Unpad Media Channel] Universitas Padjadjaran's Career Development Center (CDC) organized a seminar titled "Design Your Life: Learn About Design Thinking Methodology to Plan Your Career and Life Goals." Angie Kamath, as a speaker from the School of Professional Studies at New York University, explained the concept of design thinking, an idea focused on building new approaches to solve future problems.“When we introspect ourselves, we need to find passion, we need to find interest, and we need to look for companies or fields of work that excite us. This way, we can focus on solutions,” said Angie. Mohamad Fahmi, S.E., M.T., Ph.D., as Unpad’s Director of Education and Internationalization, expressed his appreciation for Unpad’s Career Development Center for its efforts in enhancing Unpad students' competitiveness in the job market. He also hoped that Unpad and New York University (NYU) could establish cooperation in fields that are growing and in high demand in Indonesia.
