Here’s a quick stepwise guide to understanding and implementing it: 1️⃣ Identify the Need for Salt Exchange 👉 Look for challenges like poor solubility, low reactivity, or difficult product isolation. Example: Sodium salt not dissolving well? Switch to a more soluble potassium or ammonium salt. 2️⃣ Choose the Appropriate Counterion 👉 Select a counterion based on factors like: Solubility in the reaction medium Crystallization properties Reactivity and stability 3️⃣ Perform the Salt Exchange Reaction 👉 Add a suitable salt to the reaction mixture.
