An incredible She Gives event today celebrating women’s leadership in philanthropy with Governor-General Her Excellency Sam Mostyn AC and 50 of Australia’s most prominent women in giving. Perpetual is proud to be a Major Supporting Partner of the She Gives campaign, a national initiative to unlock the catalytic potential of women’s giving and accelerate positive social change. We are also honoured to carry out the philanthropic wishes of many women clients, who are making a significant impact in the areas they’re passionate about, through their active philanthropy or their legacies. Understanding the unique perspectives that women bring to giving is something we pride ourselves on, and this extends beyond philanthropy and into how we work more broadly with our clients, and aligns with the recent launch of our Advice for women, by women initiative. #SheGives #WomenInPhilanthropy #AustralianPhilanthropy #AdviceforWomen Caitriona (Cat) Fay Melissa Smith She Gives Noble Ambition Perpetual NFP and Philanthropy

This! “Women and girls historically receive fewer resources. Only 1.9% of charitable donations in the U.S. go to causes focused on women and girls.” Globally, the picture is no brighter. The field of women-centric philanthropy is far from crowded. Yet, women funders are four times more likely than men to support women-focused causes. Some argue funders should invest instead of donate, forgetting that ROI isn’t just financial—it’s socio-economic. The ripple effect benefits women, communities, and entire economies.
Investing in women and girls is one of the most effective ways to drive economic growth, strengthen communities, and address systemic inequities. In a recent Kiplinger article, "Why We All Win When Charitable Dollars Go to Women," #RPA’s Director of Global Empowerment and Opportunities, Elizabeth Droggitis, and Thought Leadership and Content Manager, Caroline Suozzi, examine how gender-focused philanthropy creates transformative, lasting impact. Their article highlights why centering women in giving strategies is equitable and essential for sustainable progress. #Philanthropy #InvestInWomen #Impact #RPAThoughtLeadership 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gY9c4sFE

What does Philanthropy mean to women and women Leaders? Being a woman and a leader can change someone’s life. Philanthropy is more than just donating money—it’s about leveraging influence, skills, networks, and time to create lasting change at the grassroots level. Philanthropy, in my definition, is- love of humanity. Top women leaders or emerging leaders have a unique platform to encourage philanthropy by leveraging their influence, values, and networks and drive social transformation through philanthropy. As women, we know we are not all talk, we are thoughts and actions. Whether through time, money, or influence, there’s a place for everyone in philanthropy. Philanthropy doesn’t always have to be global—sometimes the most impactful change happens in local communities. The extraordinary impact can come from ordinary acts, and as women leaders, we are more than capable and equipped to bring about that change. #womenleaders, #philanthropy, #humanity
