We are thrilled to introduce you to our new start-up program: xG-INCUBATOR Funded by Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, #xGINCUBATOR puts the focus on funding scientifically sophisticated and challenging ideas in the field of #5G/ #6G communication technologies, from radio access to core and fiber optic transport networks. The program will support two target groups: Future founders with a promising technology concept as well as start-ups that have been in existence for less than five years. xG-INCUBATOR features a particularly appealing financing structure: Unlike existing programs for founded companies, the company shares remain with the founders. Participating start-ups can be funded with up to 800,000 euros per phase in a total of two phases. You can apply with a ten-page concept paper until the end of each quarter. The current application round runs until 31/03/2024. 1087 new spinout companies since 2010 jointly from three Swedish universities! 🚀💫💪🍾🇸🇪 This week at ‘Sveriges Innovationsriksdag’ (arranged by SISP - Swedish Incubators & Science Parks - Thank you!) I had the honours to give a quick introduction to how Swedish universities work with academic research valorisation through commercialization and the creation of spinouts/startups. We work very very early with researchers to mature an idea into an investable company, often 1 to 3+ years before an early new company is started. And we are really good at it. Together Lunds universitet Uppsala universitet Kungliga Tekniska högskolan we have pooled our numbers and between 2010-2022 we have helped found 1087 startups! Startups that need help to establish themselves and grow within the Swedish innovation ecosystem, including with the help from our incubators).
