Preparing for the NBHWC Exam in 2025? Here's 1 Thing You Need to Know Before you dive into your study sessions, make sure you're familiar with the NBHWC Content Outline and how the exam is structured. It’s not exactly a cheat sheet, but knowing the breakdown of categories can help you prioritize your study time effectively. Here’s the percentage breakdown of the exam: 1️⃣ Coaching Structure: 17–23% 2️⃣ Coaching Process (Relationship/Communication/Techniques): 47–53% 3️⃣ Health & Wellness: 17–23% 4️⃣ Ethics/Legal: 7–13% Since coaching process competencies make up the largest portion of the exam, it’s smart to spend most of your time mastering those. The exam is heavily scenario-based, so understanding how to apply coaching models, theories, and techniques in real-world coaching conversations is key. Focus your prep time where it matters most, and you’ll be in great shape for the exam! But keep in mind, if you wait until 2026 to take the test, you'll need to be familiar with the updated competencies. What’s your approach to studying for the NBHWC exam? Let me know in the comments! 📚✨ #NBHWC #NBHWCexam #healthcoaching

We are pleased to announce the SA Value Award Recipient for Excellence for July, 2024! Congratulations to Jess Eitelberg, Quality & Compliance Assistant in the SA Training Institute! Pictured: Jess Eitelberg (Center), receiving the award from Rob Hays, Director (left) and Claire Clauson, QCDA (right). The pursuit of Excellence is an on-going practice requiring persistence and diligence. From the ways we approach our work, to the culture of excellence stewarded by our leadership, each person in our organization commits to bringing their best to the table each and every day. This begins with the expectations we set for ourselves. It is carried out in the ways in which we relate to our customers, clients, and each other. It informs the choices we make as individuals and as a company. The nomination for Jess stood out for providing very specific examples of what defines excellence. A component of the work Jess does is in service to the Developmental Disabilities Specific Training (DDST) program. In Jess, excellence shows up whether it is through characteristics such as professionalism and collaboration or through approaching challenges and processes with team input and engagement. Excellence is carried out through the work Jess has done creating clear processes, improving the organization of systems, and her collaborative approach that has also increased efficiencies. #servicealternatives #savalues #excellence #sacares

I always enjoy these sessions. An opportunity to learn and discover different approaches and have others share their knowledge and experience. An additional bonus of course is seeing colleagues and friends and catching up. #coaching #leadershipdevelopment #listening
We had an interesting and fascinating Core Competencies Conversations session led by ICF mentor coach, Lauron Buys (MCC, IMC) yesterday. Our topic was centered on Core Competency 6: Listens Actively. This Competency focuses on what the client is and is not saying to fully understand what is being communicated in the context of the client systems and to support client self-expression. Lauron shared the art of deep listening to support our clients more effectively. We cannot wait for the next Core Competencies Conversations: Evokes Awareness on 17 September 2024, from 11h00 to 12h00 SAST. There are only a few spaces remaining! #ICFcorecompetencies #ICFSA

Here is my CGMA week 1 level assignment before receiving feedback. The most common feedback I received from my level was to make it smaller. It was too big and all the player was doing was walking #leveldesign CGAM Week 1 Theme: Asian City Streets Requirements • An intersection of at least two streets ( T-Junction) • A store that stands out at the level

🌍 Excited and Honored: My Election to the EASC Board 🌟 I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been elected to the board of the European Association for Supervision and Coaching (EASC) at the recent EASC Congress! It’s both an incredible honor and a responsibility that I’m proud to take on. Why is this role so important to me? 1. Coaching has been a major part of my career for almost 20 years, and it’s a profession I truly love. I want to help raise the bar for quality in our field and make sure coaching continues to grow and evolve in a positive way. 2. I’m passionate about European collaboration among coaches and supervisors. Connecting, learning from each other, and sharing best practices across borders is incredibly inspiring. It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we come together. 3. The EASC stands for values that resonate deeply with me: professionalism, openness, humanity, and sustainability. I’m committed to supporting and advancing these values in everything we do. 4. One of the things I appreciate most about the EASC is the amazing colleagues I get to work with. Engaging with them not only enhances my professional growth but also enriches me personally. It’s such a privilege to be part of a community that encourages ongoing learning and inspiration. 5. The EASC offers a true home base for coaches, supervisors and organizational consultants and those just starting their journey. It fosters a cross-generational and European exchange, which I believe is more important than ever today. I’m looking forward to this new chapter on the board and to making a positive impact on the world of coaching—together with all of you! ✨ #EASC #Coaching #BoardMember #EuropeanCollaboration #CoachingQuality #CoreValues #Professionalism #Sustainability #CoachingCommunity #HomeBase #CrossGenerationalExchange

As one half of this ‘dynamic duo’ , I couldn’t imagine faciliting the Fearless Practitioner program any other way! Delivering content is one thing, but turning it into an immersive and engaging experience that moves theory straight to practical application is another. It wouldn’t be possible without the teaming I get to enjoy with Chantäl Patruno on every delivery, and being able model what we teach for every cohort (ie psychological safety, the leaders toolkit, well framed experiments, learning mindset…all creating conditions for success). Our next cohort begins early Feb. Curious? https://lnkd.in/g-kVbxcX
Our dynamic duo Bronwen Downie and Chantäl Patruno, PeopleTalking's lead Fearless Organization Scan Practitioner Trainers, have trained and accredited hundreds of in-house and external Psychological Safety practitioners. Creating a positive ripple effect through the people, teams and organisations they work with is their passion. If you'd like to join our next Fearless Organization accreditation program in February 2025, click below to find out more. https://lnkd.in/g_8iWZCX
