For the third interview in our CurEOsity series on employee-owned (EO) creative agencies, we look at how Employee Ownership transformed Not Actual Size, a small London agency, but one that has always had ideas that far outweigh their actual size – and since becoming an #EO business, a culture that intricately weaves employee ownership into the fabric of its operations. Their EO status, combined with B Corp certification, make Not Actual Size stand out in recruitment discussions. Managing Director Siobhan Johnson explains, “Talking about our EO status in interviews validates our claims about culture. It shows candidates we’re serious about being a good, caring company.” Not Actual Size’s EO journey began in December 2020, when they transitioned to an employee-owned trust (EOT), a decision driven by their commitment to preserving company values and culture as the founder exited the business. This move has strengthened their culture and made them an even more attractive destination for top talent.
