The Design Thinking Lab was a truly transformative experience that reshaped my approach to problem-solving and innovation. It emphasized the power of empathy and the importance of understanding user needs to design meaningful solutions. By putting the user at the center of every decision, I gained a deeper appreciation for creating impactful and user-centric outcomes. The structured design thinking process—empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test—helped me tackle complex challenges systematically. It encouraged creative thinking, rapid prototyping, and embracing feedback to refine ideas. This iterative approach not only improved the quality of solutions but also taught me the value of learning through experimentation and collaboration. Above all, the lab reinforced the importance of teamwork. Working with diverse perspectives opened up new ways of thinking and solving problems. This experience has equipped me with the mindset and skills to approach challenges with confidence, creativity, and a focus on delivering real value. I am concluding by saying that it was a great experience while working in dtl lab and it teach us to create new ideas and Innovations i would like to thank my teachers for their effort they have taken for us to create a innovative mindset in each of us ➡️Special thanks to Navaid Z. 🚀 Design Thinking + AI in Education 🎓 Building a startup taught me the power of design thinking—creating with the user at the centre. Yet, this approach is still evolving in university education. Recently, I collaborated with fellow engineers and the Faculty of Engineering - University of Sydney to explore how Design Thinking and AI can be utilised in student assignments. As Tim Brown, CEO of IDEO, said: "Design Thinking integrates the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success." Completing University of Sydney's course on 'Reimagining Assessments using Design Thinking' reinforced the value of user-centred approaches in creating innovative, impactful learning experiences. I then applied these insights to reimagine assessments in Bioelectronics, blending core concepts from both Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. By integrating Design Thinking and AI, assignments evolve into real-world challenges, preparing students with relevant skills for their future careers. One of my key takeaways is the value of experience, how our unique perspectives shape how we design and solve problems. Thank you to Hamish Fernando, Peter Lok, Rebecca Goldsworthy, and Associate Professor Masahiro Takatsuka for your collaboration and insights. Excited to see how this work helps impact future education for students! #DesignThinking #GenAI #EducationInnovation #USYD

The Design Thinking Lab has proved to be of vital importance in understanding the users' perspective through the projects. Throughout the course I was compelled to think of unique problem solving techniques, focusing on user pain points rather than a perceived notion. I've learned crucial skill of team management and the importance of team-driven ideation. Researching about the modern issues has introduced me to different perspectives of people from various backgrounds and personal experiences. I would like to thank Navaid Z. Rizvi, Ph.D Sir and Dr. Mohammad Haroon Anwar Sir for being incredible guides throughout the duration of the course.
