CARBON CAPTURE: Vaulted Deep has raised an impressive Series A round of $32.3M to further the advancement of their climate tech, which locks away planet-warming carbon by burying organic waste deep underground. I love these startups that combine seemingly simple tech, to create innovative solutions. So how does it work? Vaulted deep takes Carbon-bearing, sludgy, organic wastes (like biosolids, agricultural & livestock wastes, and paper sludge) that otherwise would have gone to a landfill, dumped in a waterway, or spread on land to decompose, and then diverts that waste to inject the carbon deep underground. The result is permanent, 10,000+ year, carbon removal. With an impressive list of investors (as follows), this one to watch: Prelude Ventures, Lowercarbon Capital, Earthshot Ventures, WovenEarth Ventures, Fall Line Capital, Rethink Impact, LP
