🚀 European National Cybersecurity Coordination Centers (NCCs) get Ready for €25,000 in EU Funding! 🚀 CYSSDE’s first Open Call is launching soon, offering up to €25,000 in funding for NCCs. ⚙️CYSSDE (Cybersecurity Deployment Preparedness Support, Capacity and Capabilities) is a European project focused on improving cybersecurity for Essential Service Operators and SMEs. It addresses known vulnerabilities and helps organizations comply with the NIS2 directive. The project does this by organizing open calls to support Member States, developing methods and scenarios for cybersecurity, and coordinating with national cybersecurity centers to enhance pen-testing capabilities across Europe. For all the European NCC`s this is your chance to secure funding by engaging in key cybersecurity activities across Europe. October is cybersecurity awareness month! The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has launched its 21st annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month, aiming to bolster public understanding and industry collaboration in enhancing online safety. This year’s theme, "Secure Our World," emphasizes four key practices for improving personal and organizational cybersecurity: • Using strong, unique passwords; • Enabling multi-factor authentication; • Recognizing and reporting phishing attempts; • And keeping software up to date. Throughout October, CISA, in partnership with the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA), will engage businesses, individuals, and government entities to raise awareness of these practices. The goal is to strengthen the nation’s overall cybersecurity posture by encouraging proactive, everyday actions that reduce vulnerabilities to cyber threats. In addition to public education, CISA is focusing on providing resources tailored to specific groups, such as small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and individual users. These resources include toolkits, tip sheets, and interactive materials aimed at promoting stronger cyber defenses. Jen Easterly, Director of CISA, emphasized the importance of public and private collaboration in securing the digital landscape, noting that a collective effort is essential to protect both personal data and critical infrastructure.
