There is a lot of discussion today about value, the value of products we buy, the value of our currency, but I think we need to be more thoughtful and intimate about how we speak to value. The value of our time, our knowledge, our expertise, but also how we are valued by the company we work for, our teams and also those that we work for. I am being selective with my words here because leading people is a privilege, and leading is different from managing. A title or position can make you a manager, but being a leader is a title that must be earned and that is what brings us back to value. If you are thinking that this sounds like a lot to cover you are right and it is yet another topic that I am planning to cover on an upcoming podcast episode of Life, Leadership and the Pursuit of Success. Here is the first question we should all be asking ourselves, do I know my value? Does the company I work for see the same or greater value in me? Here comes a tough one, are the values of leadership, people development, trust and integrity the basis for all that I do as a leader? Do the values of the company I work for align? Every company says they do, but do thier actions and behaviors say otherwise? Let me know if you feel that your company values align with yours… What can you do as a leader to influence that? I look forward to sharing my thoughts and experience with all of you as we start building out the framework for the first several podcasts, stay tuned….

New podcast episode! #375 If you are someone who is on a journey of personal growth, but most people around you prefer to settle, then today's episode is for you. During the interviews I did last year, I asked some of my guests a question that was put to me by one of the listeners, Alice. In today's episode you can hear 5 of the previous podcast guests answer that question. Their answers were not published in the respective episodes, so this is the very first time they are being shared! And the question was: What would you say to someone who wants to grow, but most of the people around them (their peers) have a fixed mindset, preferring to settle rather than grow? 🌟 Mindset Matters with Dr Amita 🌟 What is the most important thing in business ??? The most important thing is the quality of the service or the quality of the product. If you produce something, let it be of high quality. If you provide a service, then do it to the best of your ability. The time of consumer goods has passed, the time of one-off services has passed. Now it's the “long-term customer” that matters, so do everything honestly. ❗️Then it will be good. The customer will come to you and bring two more. If you produce something that is really useful and of high quality, success will come by itself. Do share your opinion!!! #Performance #Criticalthinking #Vision #Nevergiveup Success stories ll Dr Amita Sharma podcast

I'm excited to share insights from the latest episode of the Evolving Enterprises podcast: "Encouraging and Empowering Change in times of Complexity" I had a great conversation with Suzana Barbosa 🦋 a passionate advocate for embracing complexity and interconnectedness in our lives and work much of which crosses into the world of systems thinking. Here are some key takeaways from our discussion, but as always the link to the podcast episode is below: 1️⃣ Embracing Complexity: Through Suzana's journey from musician to entrepreneur, she talks about the shift towards understanding the non-linear, dynamic systems found in nature. 2️⃣ Interconnectedness & Patterns: We explored the importance of recognising patterns and interconnectedness, and how they shape effective problem-solving and decision-making in various domains. 3️⃣ Subconscious Transformation: we discussed the power of subconscious programming and the need to update our beliefs and behaviors for personal growth and change. 4️⃣ Customer-Centric Approach: We talked about how in understanding customers' needs and motivations business success and growth can develop. 5️⃣ Living Authentically: We are both fierce advocates of living authentically and being cuttingly honest with ourselves and aligning our actions with our deepest aspirations. Tune in to the full episode for a deep dive into Systems Thinking and practical strategies for navigating complexity with confidence and purpose. #SystemsThinking #Empowerment #ChangeManagement #EvolvingEnterprises https://lnkd.in/erpS7g4k

How do you ensure you're paying attention to the things that matter? I recently read on LinkedIn that if something won’t matter in 5 years, why give it 5 minutes of worry? Then I realized that I worry about quite a few things I won’t worry about in 5 years. So I ask myself, what am I not paying attention to that I should be? Transformation and Innovation strategist, Kellee M. Franklin, PhD Franklin, recently shared with me the importance of paying attention to the things that are not obvious – the things that are not flashing RED or not focusing on the things that are measured and being reported…and might be flashing red. And I realized I pay attention to a lot of things that are flashing red. Unfortunately, many of those at the expense of the things that actually matter. Kellee continues, it is in those things that are harder to measure where bonds and connections, relationships and emotions, are formed and influenced. More to the point, the subsequent quality of impact and meaning are formed in those nuances and moments. Is there a different way? Kellee shares with us a line from a Mary Oliver poem that sums this up: “To pay attention, this is our endless and proper work.” To learn more, join us on the latest episode of True Snacks. Paying attention to what matters assumes you are cognizant of what matters. You know what matters, and yet, how are you keeping that front and center? #Attention #Focus #Leadership

𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐀 𝐓𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝖳𝖱𝖴𝖤 𝖮𝖱 𝖥𝖠𝖫𝖲𝖤: 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦 𝘶𝘱𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬 answer: 👇🏻 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄 While I do believe that for some, that is a main factor .. but, today, advisors move for many other reasons besides monetizing their business It’s usually due to a combination of both pushes and pulls that are motivating advisors. ▶ Pushes: advisors, even those on some of the largest teams, have been feeling the balance of power shift away from the advisor and instead towards the firm causing advisors to feel like they are losing control and can no longer run their business how they want to ▶ Pulls: advisors place a greater focus on thinking of their “business as a business.” So many are looking towards other options in order to gain greater freedom and control So while monetizing your business is a reason, it’s important that in the end, the main reason for the move is to benefit the clients and the growth of the business.
