I went to my daughters GCSE aspiration evening and I was really taken aback by one subject..... Maths! I was struck by how many resources there are online and the way that Tech is helping with revision and learning. Some people are live streaming doing a past paper! Genius. Wish that was there when I was doing exams. But is that just because Maths is 'easy' to technify (if that is even a word)?? Maths generally at GCSE has a 'right' answer. How easy is it with other more subjective subjects like History or English? Especially in the long form answers. How do you see these revision materials evolving? Let me know what you think 👇 #Education #EdTech #DigitalLearning #FutureOfEducation

🎩 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟴! 🎩 Here’s a fun maths trick to impress your friends, boost your number sense, and add a little “wow” factor to your GCSE revision. At QED Tuition, we love showing students that maths can be full of surprises! 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀: 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗮 𝟯-𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 with three different digits (e.g., 372). 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝘀 to get a new number (e.g., 273). 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 from the larger one (e.g., 372 - 273 = 99). 𝗔𝗱𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝘀 of the result (e.g., 9 + 9 = 18). 🎯 No matter what 3-digit number you pick, the final answer will always be 18! 🎯 It’s a cool way to sharpen mental maths skills and build number confidence—give it a go! 👍 Like | 💬 Comment | 🔁 Repost | 👤 Follow me Faisal Naqvi #MathsMagic #GCSEMaths #QEDTuition #StudentSuccess #FunWithMaths #MathsMadeSimple #StudyTips

𝗠𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 🚍 Vectors are one of those topics that students always want to master, along with circle theorems. I like to think of vectors as plotting a bus journey—because who doesn’t love a good bus adventure? 🚌 OA is vector ‘a’ (bus a) 🚌 OB is vector ‘b’ (bus b) Imagine you’re at stop A, waiting for a bus to B. There’s no direct bus, so here’s what you do: 🚌 Take Bus 'a' to stop O. 🚌 Get off and take Bus 'b' from O to B. So, the journey from A to B looks like this: AB = AO + OB Since OA is ‘a’, AO is in the opposite direction, ‘-a’ 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗔 𝘁𝗼 𝗕 = -𝗮 + 𝗯. Even if there’s no direct route, you can still get there with a little creativity and patience. This simple example shows the principle, which stays the same even for more challenging vector questions. Understanding vectors this way can make them much easier to tackle under exam conditions. At QED Tuition, we specialise in helping students achieve a Grade 7 in maths within 12 weeks. Our structured approach and personalized guidance make mastering complex topics achievable. 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲! Proficiency in maths alone isn't enough to excel in GCSE Maths; literacy is crucial too. Studies show the average reading age of UK adults is just 9 to 11 years, even lower in deprived areas. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘀: ❌ GCSE Maths questions assume a reading age of 15 or 16. Students may understand the maths but struggle with interpreting questions. ❌ Simple Scenarios: Understanding relationships like John and Ali's counters (John has ‘x’ and Ali has ‘x+3’) can be confusing without clear reading comprehension. ❌ Sequences: Questions about sequences, like three consecutive even numbers, need strong literacy skills. ❌ For students aiming beyond a Grade 5, strong English skills are indispensable. Grades 7, 8, and 9 require the ability to dissect and interpret complex written instructions accurately. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗪𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗤𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: ✔ Targeted Literacy Support: We integrate literacy support with maths instruction to help students interpret complex questions. ✔ Structured Learning Plans: Our plans break down question structures, practice reading comprehension in maths contexts, and expand vocabulary. ✔ Consistent Practice: 15 to 30 minutes of focused study each day helps reinforce literacy and maths skills, maintaining academic momentum. At QED Tuition, we specialise in helping students achieve a Grade 7 in maths within 12 weeks. Our structured approach and personalised guidance make mastering complex topics like circle theorems achievable. Exciting News! Our summer course is fully booked, but I had 10 slots open for our next course starting at the end of August — 5 have already been taken as of this week! Ready to get your child a Grade 7 in GCSE maths? DM me now to set up a quick chat and see how we can help them! #MathsSuccess #SummerLearning #GCSEPreparation #StudentAchievement #EducationMatters #QEDTuition #MathsTutoring #Grade7in12Weeks #LearningJourney #AcademicExcellence
