New op-ed in RealClearHealth: "Trump and his incoming Federal Trade Commission Chair and Health and Human Services Secretary should work on quickly closing the books on the Biden administration’s baseless #PBM lawsuit and ending the federal government’s discouragement of their use. Doing so would make #BigPharma cringe, yes, but it would make the rest of us better off." https://lnkd.in/eDPMWWsc
Baseless??!!!?? Really? If the FTC says it, patients say it (and suffer because of you), providers say it (and can’t practice like they want to because of you), Congressional Committees say it (have you changed your testimonies yet), and pharmacies say it(5-9 are closing a day because of your practices); you think maybe you just might be the issue? As Bill Engvall says “Here’s your sign”
Yesterday I had to have a patient pay out of pocket because someone behind a desk said refilling a Ketoconazole cream was TOO soon after 17 days and had to wait till Dec 10th. The lady has a massive Ringworm infection. So they said now she needs a PA. I said what are going to ask the doctor? Why does the patient more cream? Ther is NOTHINg clinical about this. The drug is generic and is less than 40 dollars.
What do you have to say about the countless independent pharmacies that are being put out of business because PBMs dictate what we are paid and are drastically paying us under our cost? Or how about the fact that PBMs are overpaying thier own mail order pharmacies by absurd amounts over what independents are paid? PBMs NEED to be reigned in before we lose all of our community pharmacies. Chains and independents alike.
You should see the ABSURD language regarding sterile compounds...test claims etc we have to follow. This isn't a business model...this is indentured slavery
PCMA loves to Spread “Falsehoods” and use their money from the The Top PBMs to payoff elected representatives to vote their way. Or at least that’s what I have heard ….
Ypu guys are a JOKE. The states aren't buying it..the AG's aren't buying it....the providers AREN'T going to just shut because you want them to. The volume is getting louder. IN FACT I'm not sure why your still post here. You literally get nothing out of it. I don't see this changing the minds of anyone and only keeping the people that already believe you giving a like. Cut the bull already because there isn't a single post you have from a provider on the JOYS of going through the PBMs. Yesterday I had to force a patient to pay cash for ketoconazole cream because the PBM SAYS that filling the cream 17 days after the last fill was TOO soon. Someone the PBM has an office genie that knows how much cream is used and how long it lasts based on where the patient uses it. Since they don't know any of that and neither do i..they said she needs a Prior Auth. So she either paid cash or waited
