Are you a #Recyclinghero ? It really doesn't take much to play a part in helping the planet and creating a sustainable approach to daily tasks and activities. Global Recycling Day began in 2018, as set out by the Global Recycling Foundation, and has one mission - set into two parts. The first is to tell world leaders that recycling is a global issue and that a joined up approach is needed to combat it. The second is where the heroes can be found - you. It is the change in the way we think about it, and act upon it. By thinking resource, rather than waste, as we go about our daily lives. It can be as simple as using a re-usable coffee cup, a bag for life, or using waste food for garden compost.

To mark the start of #RecycleWeek and help us further reduce contamination, we’ve launched our new recycling campaign, 'Top of the Contaminants'. 🎶    We’re asking residents to ‘take 2 seconds to check their recycling’ and make sure their clear dry mixed recycling bags only contain items we can recycle. 🧐 The campaign focuses on the Top 5 items which cannot be recycled but our teams keep finding in clear bags during the weekly kerbside collections. #RecycleWeek #Recycling #TopOfTheContaminants
