Our Big Give Match Appeal starts tomorrow! From 12pm (3rd December) to 12pm on 10th December, your donation will be MATCHED, meaning every pound you give will have twice the impact funding a girls’ empowerment programme in two schools in Rugin. After working with the community for several years now, we have made a significant impact in maternal health and child nutrition. BUT our nurses have told us one root cause of many of the challenges in the health centre is the young age at which girls are leaving school, getting married and ultimately having children before their bodies are ready. That’s why we’re raising funds to run girls’ empowerment sessions in two schools in Rugin. These sessions will build a girl’s confidence to stay in school, delay marriage and avoid early pregnancies. To create lasting, community wide change, boys, local leaders, and parents will also be involved through meetings and street dramas. Your support will make a real difference. Please read more about the impact of child marriage in our blog: 👉 https://lnkd.in/eHsBF3Vy #ChristmasChallenge #GivingTuesday #GirlsEmpowerment #PHASEWorldwide #PHASENepal #GenderEquality

An incredibly generous donation from Northgate Market of 90 baby blankets 🚼 A key category of our baby basic distributions is “comfort items” and blankets & swaddles are always items that are quick to go! So, receiving this in-kind donation is not only kind but so helpful to our moms & families who need support. What may just seem like a comfort item is so much more… it is a basic need that supports the emotional well-being of our kiddos, even as babies. Baby blankets can help provide a sense of familiarity and security to babies, especially during times of stress or change. So not only are they necessary for warmth, but they are quite literally physical examples of how connected basic needs are to our mental health. We are proud and honored to partner with business like Northgate Market who prioritize the needs of their community 💚 #pueblosofca #vivalasalud #inkinddonation #babyblanket #nonprofitorganization #basicneedssupport

According to the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families, only 29% of the 300,000+ families with children under the age of 5 have access to child care. The situation is even more challenging for families of school-age children (kindergarten through age 12). With over 469,000 children needing care, only 12% are served by licensed providers, preschools, or subsidized child care programs. At Kids Co., we are committed to addressing these gaps, striving to create a future where all families have access to the care they need. But we can’t do it alone—this is a challenge for us all. If you want to help us change this statistic, consider donating to our cause. Caring for the Future: How We Can Help Orphans Thrive In a world full of abundance, countless children face life's hardships alone. Orphans, through no fault of their own, often bear the brunt of societal neglect. However, we have the power to change this narrative. By stepping up as a community, we can provide the care and support these children desperately need. From education and healthcare to emotional support and life skills, our involvement can turn the tide for their futures. Imagine a world where every orphaned child has a mentor, a safe place to call home, and access to opportunities that allow them to flourish. This vision is achievable if we commit to acting now. Let’s invest in these young lives by volunteering, donating, or simply spreading awareness. Together, we can make sure that every child receives care and every orphan can thrive. #HelpOrphansThrive #CommunityCare #FutureInvestment

We're always moved by feedback from parents who've engaged with our services & share how it has changed their lives. One mum said: "I don't have to put on a brave face at Smile. I can just be myself." It might sound simple and obvious, but often as new parents we're experiencing massive changes internally and yet trying to look like we 'have it all together'. The truth is that safe spaces which enable us to be honest can create massive shifts in our experience of parenthood. If you've come through our service - either attending peer support groups, talk therapy, home visits or family sessions - please take a few minutes to complete the survey below. It makes a big difference to us & helps funders see the immense value of our work. https://lnkd.in/eWtuhCmG #feedback #peersupport #perinatamentalhealth #charity

The new Resolution Parenting through separation Guide is such a valuable tool and we love the new additions #resolution #parentingthroughseparation #familylaw #coparenting #childfocused
"C is for Co-Parenting" I picked up "An ABC of Families" for my son in a charity shop a few months ago as he loves books. It covers topics like adoption, blended families and co-parenting in simple child-friendly terms and is a great resource for those with younger children. Talking of resources, Resolution have just launched the second edition of their Parenting through separation guide which is a valuable guide for parents on co-parenting ⬇ https://lnkd.in/g3W6TkM9 #familylaw #coparenting #family #resources #childrensbooks

𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝'𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐫𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞! why??? 👇 Although your intentions of celebrating your child's birthday at an orphanage is pure let's think of it from the perspective of children there. Celebrating birthdays in an orphanage, while well-intentioned, can have unintended negative consequences: 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: When an outsider celebrates their birthday, it can emphasize the absence of parents or family for the children in the orphanage. This can lead to feelings of sadness, loneliness, or jealousy among the children. 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭-𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: A one-time celebration might bring temporary joy, but it doesn't contribute to the long-term well-being of the children. Instead, consistent support, education, and care are more beneficial. 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬: The focus of such celebrations can sometimes shift from genuinely helping the children to making the outsiders feel good about their charitable act. 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 (:

https://lnkd.in/d9HnyAR5 Click the link 👆 to donate or donate via Mpesa Paybill: 530500 Acc No- Donation Every gift of $9 (Ksh 1,170) helps one child receive therapy. Children in Kenya, just like other parts of the world, experience some aspects of life that cause trauma. Very often trauma experienced stems from separation/divorce, abandonment, sickness, violence and death in the family. The growing number of children experiencing violations of various forms, especially sexual exploitation, child labor, early marriages, threats of or actual female genital cut are left with marks that turn around their lives. The good part is that there is a growing number of children stepping forward seeking for help. Unfortunately, some of the children remain silent: locked up in a world that shut down for them with the experience. They need to be supported to live through the emotions, unlock the gates to their inner beauty in-order to thrive now and into their future. Counselling is not commonly programmed for children in our community, thus not accessible to majority of the children, especially those living in very vulnerable circumstances. Life Bloom operates with a pool of qualified counsellors ready and already holding up this project. Child Centered Art and Play Therapy approaches are used. Continued counsellor related up-skilling, debriefing and counsellor supervision will be part of the process. What remains is for some of the children to receive sponsorship for this life -changing transformative healing journey. This is the reason we come to you with a request: SPONSOR A CHILD WITH A CONTRIBUTION OF $9 (USD 9)/ Ksh 1,170. Gift one or more children and be part of celebrating Life Bloom@20 family! #donate #childtherapy #Counseling
