Tilray's CEO said: "I never want to be sitting here hoping and dependent on government legalization." Definitely interesting to see a company (and a space) talking about cannabis beverages disrupting alcohol yet making more revenue in alcohol than canna. It's not surprising to see diversification at companies of this scale with how their growth is married to legislation that is so slow and painful. The beverage space has been on fire inside and outside of cannabis and alcohol. No surprise everyone is finding a way to cash in. For large scale, LONG play, cannabis organizations...I don't see it as a bad move business wise to get in on the alcohol space. Build brand recognition at massively widespread retail outlets with a 21+ over audience while generating revenue, not just paying for advertising. Build a fanbase on brand and offerings while legalization slowly figures itself out. St. Ides and Pabst have entered cannabis and been able to do the reverse of this. I know so much of our community, and some of the loudest ones, are anti-alcohol comparassions and sometimes are anti-alcohol all together but from a business standpoint, this makes sense for the right orgs. The exciting and painful game of cannabis continues to deliver on both points!
The weed industry is having a serious identity crisis. Tilray is the best example of this limbo the industry finds itself in. Last quarter, it brought in more money selling beer and spirits than it did cannabis. Back in 2019, the company boasted its marijuana would disrupt the alcohol industry that it finds itself more and more a part of. Last month, Green Thumb Industries, one of the largest cannabis retailers in the country openly courted Boston Beer for a merger on X. Many in the space are getting into to selling increasingly popular hemp drinks too after staying on the sidelines for months. All this is to say they're doing anything and everything to make money before the long awaited "rescheduling" of weed by the US government. Most people I spoke with were confident that would happen before the election. This month, the DEA said hearings on that decision won't start until December... Tilray's CEO told me: "I never want to be sitting here hoping and dependent on government legalization."

I got that back to the future smoke! 💨 I mean it’s gotta be from the future right?? How else do you explain the production date? 🤦♂️ Had the worst experience ever trying to find a live resin or rosin cart today in NM. Hit 4 dispensaries and this is the 1st 1 that kept in back cooler. But now I see production date. Had another try and sell me distillate in live resin boxes with live resin prices. Can’t even trust dispensaries anymore?? Takes 4 to find the real thing. Then it’s dated wrong. Where’s the regulation on such products? I remember idoa up north at the grow every other week checking our stuff. How is so many people getting away with it? Then people are complaining about big pharma. When you do shady business like some places how could you blame them for shutting it down. We gotta get our act together and do better. If not for cannabis for our customers. They deserve better. Plus 1s like me that know better don’t wanna waste gas and time going to 4places to find what the 1st and 2nd place said they had but was fake or not taken care of. 🤦♂️ rant over 😆

Glorious Cannabis Company is a Michigan cannabis brand that delivers a reliable experience with their flower. Reliability is criminally underrated in retail. It’s everything to the customer! It can be hard to judge the effectiveness of a cannabis product because results vary depending on the person. Here's what I can tell you for sure: ✅ Packaging and labeling is always consistent. ✅ Legacy matters in Michigan. This is an example of a long-term investment paying off. There are a limited number of growers that can boast about their growth in the market like this brand. ✅ Their flower is never old. It sells fast, so we always get fresh products. It could be priced slightly higher, but then customers wouldn't buy it as much and their experience of constant variety/freshness wouldn't be as powerful. It really builds on itself once you start moving this much weight.
