In her latest blog post, our Chief Economist and Director, Economic Research, Anjalika Bardalai builds on the latest data from our annual Enabling Growth Across the UK report to look into the contributions of financial and related professional services to the UK economy, analysing the number of firms operating across the UK. 💡 Key Insights: • As of March 2023, 277,830 financial and related professional services businesses were operating in the UK: o 21% in financial services o 79% in related professional services • In contrast, employment in the industry is split nearly 50%/50% between financial services and related professional services. • Despite financial services representing only 20% of businesses, they account for 44% of employment in the industry—in contrast to the related professional services sector, which comprises 80% of businesses but employs just over half the workforce. 📖 Read the full blog here: https://lnkd.in/gJZipiC8
