I am shocked because these rankings could be misleading and decremental to the bettering of football teams and talent around SA.
Teams like Democratic Republic of Congo and , Cape Verde and Ghana are below us . Yet they produce more youth players that are fluctuate markets in Europe . These countries have players in large quantities abroad starting in various leagues Worldwide .
We have a good concentration of wornderful players from mostly our own league and with sundowns leading almost any ratio indicating the number players representing South Africa or even with the most Caps for the South African national team.
Well this might make us dependant on one Manager and maybe two clubs in our entire League . Let’s aim to produce more for export.
Still some way to go for South African football to really start cooking, but I'm liking the progress thus far. I think the next generation of South African footballing talent is ready to take the world by storm.

Fortaleza Esporte Clube's rise to 15th place in the world ranking by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) showcases the power of a structured project and effective management, especially in a competitive football landscape like Brazil. Over the past few years, Fortaleza has transformed into one of the best teams in the country by focusing on sustainable growth rather than relying on a large budget. Under the leadership of Marcelo Paz, the club has followed a clear long-term vision that emphasizes financial stability, smart investments, and talent development. This strategic approach has allowed them to compete at the highest level without overspending or compromising the club's future.
A significant part of this success comes from their investment in coaching and player development. The hiring of Juan Pablo Vojvoda brought a tactical flexibility that has elevated the team's performances both in domestic and international competitions. Vojvoda’s ability to implement a dynamic style of play while maximizing the strengths of his squad has been crucial in making Fortaleza a consistent contender, despite facing clubs with far greater financial resources. The club has also been highly effective in scouting undervalued talent, identifying players who fit their tactical philosophy and developing them into key contributors, rather than chasing expensive stars.
Fortaleza’s financial management has been another cornerstone of their success. While many Brazilian clubs face financial instability due to overspending, Fortaleza has managed their resources prudently, investing where it counts without taking unnecessary risks. This disciplined approach has allowed them to maintain competitiveness while growing sustainably, proving that smart management can be just as important as a big budget in football. By keeping a clear balance between spending and performance, Fortaleza has set an example for how clubs can achieve success on a limited budget.
Furthermore, the club’s performance in international tournaments like the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana has solidified their place among South America's elite. Competing regularly in these tournaments has not only boosted their IFFHS ranking but also provided invaluable experience that has strengthened the team as a whole. With strong fan support and an internal culture that emphasizes collective effort and discipline, Fortaleza has built a foundation that shows how strategic planning and resourcefulness can elevate a club's status on the global stage. Their journey demonstrates that a well-executed project, grounded in intelligent decision-making, can produce extraordinary results even in the face of financial limitations.

Roberto Mancini Steps Down as Saudi Arabia Manager by Mutual Consent!
Dear Saudi readers,
The departure raises important questions about the direction of #SaudiArabianfootball.
Roberto Mancini undoubtedly put forth his best efforts, but the current environment posed significant challenges.
The influx of foreign players has limited opportunities for Saudi players, resulting in reduced playing time in the first teams.
It's essential to create a more balanced approach that prioritizes local talent development alongside foreign contributions.
While Cristiano Ronaldo's presence has certainly enhanced the prestige of the Saudi league and inflated his own net worth, the pressing question remains: Has he truly contributed to the development of local talent? The answer is a resounding No!
To foster genuine growth in Saudi football, I propose the following changes:
1️⃣ Do not renew Cristiano Ronaldo's contract and Use his 200 million per year for my #KolektivFootballProject.
It's time to focus on nurturing homegrown talent rather than relying on celebrity status.
2️⃣ Revamp the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) : Embrace the #David_Borg_team approach within the next two years.
It's crucial to assemble a new team of managers dedicated to developing the football talents of the future.
Let's prioritize sustainable growth and invest in the next generation of players.
Together, we can build a robust footballing framework that benefits Saudi Arabia's future on the international stage!

In a significant step towards enhancing football development in Grenada, Marlon Glean, the President of the Grenada Football Association (GFA), recently met with Yasser Al Misehal, the President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. This meeting marks a pivotal moment for Grenadian football, as collaborative opportunities to enhance the sport at various levels are explored.
One of the highlights of their discussions was the upcoming referees' workshop, scheduled to take place in Grenada from January 3–5, 2025. This workshop will be facilitated by experienced FIFA refereeing instructors from Saudi Arabia, providing a valuable platform for local officials to improve their skills and knowledge.
Glean and Al Misehal also delved into technical support avenues for players and coaches, including the potential sharing of resources, strategies, and best practices to bolster talent development in Grenada. By tapping into Saudi Arabia's extensive expertise in football management and player development, the GFA aims to provide its coaches with expert insights that can be translated into more effective training programs for aspiring footballers.
Another exciting prospect discussed was the possibility of Grenadian players having opportunities to play in the prestigious and fast-growing Saudi Pro League. Such exposure would provide young players with invaluable international experience, potentially paving the way for their professional careers. Playing in one of the top leagues in the region could foster talent development within Grenada, inspiring a new generation of football stars.
The meeting proved fruitful, and as these initiatives take shape, they have the potential to transform the landscape of football in Grenada, leading to greater successes on and off the pitch.
