👩🌾 Smallholder farmers can be empowered to become business owners, who are able to liaise directly with institutional buyers. Providing support for them to build their skills, sharpen their business management abilities, and develop their understanding of stakeholders can go a long way in helping them to operate their businesses more effectively. 🌾💼 The Jollibee Group's Farmer Entrepreneurship Program enables smallholders in the #Philippines to build capacity, gain access to markets, and improve their livelihoods while honing their skills and knowledge. ✍️ Through the Jollibee Group Foundation, they also collaborated with Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan to 'train the trainers', by upskilling local partners and farmers who can organise and coordinate among their communities. The programme is highlighted as a case study in our latest report, “Seeding the Future: Transforming Smallholder Farms for a Sustainable Tomorrow”, developed by the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices (CIIP) and Wavemaker Impact, and supported by the Philanthropy Asia Alliance. 💡 Access the report for more insights: https://lnkd.in/guxGQp7h #CIIP #WavemakerImpact #PhilanthropyAsiaAlliance #JollibeeGroup #SoutheastAsia #CapacityBuilding #Entrepreneurship #SustainableAgriculture #SmallholderFarmers
