Change can be transformational but it can also be incremental. We are often challenged to be radical in our thinking but often lack the practical tools to create the viable future(s) we can imagine. And that's one of the the examples we use in the book of the kind of transformational change that we need is the case to abolish chattel slavery. And that was a case where people, obviously enslaved people fought from day one against it, like fought to resist, fought to fight back. And in the beginning not having a lot of power. So we talk about like, realistically, yeah, you're not going to give up that fight. You're going to have to turn to the tools that you have. And the tools that people may have at first is just. Survival, which is we talk about the strategy of collective care, which is taking care of one another just to make it to another day. Learning new skill like learning languages. So you could talk across languages of, of people that were thrown together from different parts of countries and how to form networks to escape or attempt escape. And not to say that, you know, it didn't work a lot of the time. So but people took that strategy because in the initial stages, that's the strategy that was available to them.
