Many thanks to my colleagues at #bhstabletopag for achieving this! We have already collected very positive feedback and are keen to take it a step further. Though we would be ready to produce smaller lot sizes on an individually agreed basis at the current stage, we are limited in using it on an industrial scale. As hydrogen - preferably green hydrogen - is not yet available via public grid, the logistical effort is huge. As a reference: It took about 120 bottles of hydrogen (10 bundles) in the few hours of test firing. It is widely underestimated in the public discussion which volumes would be necessary and how important pipelines/public grid are to make it work.

We have taken a significant step towards our goal of sustainability and decarbonization in the porcelain industry. 🚀 As part of the continuous optimization of sustainable activities, we have managed to fire porcelain successfully and exclusively with hydrogen. We are incredibly proud of this success! 🔥 🍽 #bhstabletopag #sustainability #innovation #hydrogen #decarbonization #porcelain #renewableenergy

Moving forward! Still a long way to go, but I am confident of overcoming the challenges ahead!

One of the few positive LinkedIn posts about firing 😅
