For years, we've been sold the lie that thin = healthy🙅♀️. But the truth is being skinny isn't the only ideal. In fact, chasing extreme thinness can lead to: ⛔️Nutrient deficiencies ⛔️Missed periods ⛔️Constipation and Bloating ⛔️Poor mental health ⛔️Body dissatisfaction ⛔️Eating disorders ⛔️Organ damage ⛔️Brittle hair ⛔️Flaky skin ⛔️Mood swings Our main focus should not be on our weight, or fitting into size zero jeans. Rather, our goal should be to be fit and healthy🌻. When we focus on strength, we begin to see our bodies in a new light. We recognize that every curve, every muscle, and every inch is a testament to our power and capacity. We begin to appreciate the intricate web of systems that work together to keep us alive and thriving. As we let go of the thin ideal, we open ourselves up to a world of possibility. We begin to see that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and that every body is worthy of love and respect. So, let's redefine what beauty means to us. Let's choose to see strength, resilience, and vitality as the ultimate beauty standards. Let's nourish our bodies, rather than punishing them. And let's celebrate every inch of our unique, beautiful selves. When the focus shifts from the number on the scale to our health, we tend to obsess less about weight and instead, we focus on a better, healthier LIFESTYLE🌴and this is what we should all be striving for.
