According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's first-quarter small-business index, 60% of small businesses say they are concerned about cybersecurity threats, while 27% of them believe a single threat incident would put them out of business. It’s somewhat reassuring that the majority of small businesses (73% of them) feel prepared for cybersecurity threats. While there’s no specific data on how exactly in the report, the growing use of Managed Service Providers who utilize security solutions designed to provide even the smallest business with the same levels of protection as their enterprise counterparts makes me hopeful.

Keeping your business safe from evolving cyber threats can feel like sprinting toward a finish line with no win in sight. With newly uncovered scams, hacks, and attacks announced weekly—if not daily—it can feel like you need to speed-run an IT upgrade. These tools are supposed to be the best and keep you safe, right? So why not get them all? Sometimes, too much can weigh you down. The 2024 CDW Cybersecurity Research Report revealed that nearly 70% of retail organizations use 10 to 49 security tools and platforms. Too many security tools and platforms can create redundancy situations, and tools that lose support can develop issues that mesh legacy systems with new updates. With so many security tools in play, it is more challenging to ensure compliance and regulations are met. We're always on the lookout for technology that's going to improve our client's workflow, but before we implement new tech, we always conduct an assessment and cleanup of existing infrastructure. This can include getting rid of unused phone or fax lines, deactivating unused login credentials, removing unclaimed devices from secure networks, and creating a plan to phase out end-of-life software. A good MSP will help you get the foundation of your infrastructure cleaned up and equip you with only the tools you actually need to reach your business goals. https://lnkd.in/eRXr-eAc #MSP #techacceleration #cybersecurity #SMB #malware

In today's digital age, even small businesses are at risk of cyberattacks. A strong cybersecurity posture is not just a luxury but a necessity. Why is cybersecurity so important for small businesses? - Reduced downtime: Cyberattacks can disrupt operations and lead to significant financial losses. - Lower overhead: Proactive security measures can prevent costly breaches and data recovery efforts. - Improved security posture: A trusted security partner can help identify vulnerabilities and implement effective safeguards. - Reduced attack surface: By working together, you can minimize the potential entry points for cybercriminals. While some businesses may believe they can handle cybersecurity on their own, having experienced and trained professionals can make a crucial difference when it matters most. Cyber threats are constantly evolving, and staying ahead of the curve requires specialized knowledge and expertise. A trusted security partner is more than just a service provider; they're a valuable ally. They understand your unique needs and work collaboratively to achieve your business goals while protecting your digital assets. Don't wait until it's too late. #cybersecurity #smallbusiness #datasafety #securitypartner #digitalprotection
