FCC has raised the benchmark for high-speed fixed broadband to download speeds of 100 megabits per second and upload speeds of 20 megabits per second – a four-fold increase from the 25/3 Mbps benchmark set by the Commission in 2015. The Report also sets a 1 Gbps/500 Mbps long-term goal for broadband speeds to give stakeholders a collective goal towards which to strive – a better, faster, more robust system of communication for American consumers.

Fiber is great when it makes sense but it will never cover every subscriber - even with the massive funding initiatives we've had in the last few years. WISPs can quickly deliver broadband to areas that would otherwise wait years for fiber. The Tier 2/3 ISPs of the future are going to be hybrid access - fiber where practical and FWA everywhere else. https://lnkd.in/g95JwVZp

#ofcom Great to see Ofcom continuing to iterate on the Shared Access framework for Private Network licenses. "enable new business models by removing the terminal registration requirement for mobile terminals connected to Low Power outdoor base stations in the 3.8-4.2 GHz band" Ofcom still needs to address the ability for Enterprises to connect to their Shared Access deployment networks to the Carriers (Three UK, Virgin Media O2, BT Group, Vodafone). Since this is already allowed when using Wi-Fi as the data connection via VoWiFi, which is currently utilized in the Enterprise space, I am not sure how they can justify not allowing this connectivity utilizing 5G as the data connection via VoPRV8 Calling.
