Last week, we attended an inspiring day with the who’s who of hospitality at the MEWS Unfold conference held at the stunning Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam. A real highlight was the compelling keynote by MIT professor Dr. David Edelman who shared his insights into the current and future state of AI. Dr. Edelman emphasised how AI is revolutionising the hospitality sector, enhancing guest experiences, and improving operational efficiencies. His call to action was clear: “We must engage with AI and strive to develop fluency in this technology.” The discussions didn't stop there. Panellists explored how brands can stand out in today's competitive market and create memorable experiences for their guests. They shared success stories of brands that have scaled impressively while maintaining exceptional service quality by leveraging local culture and implementing sustainable practices. The transformative role of data analytics in personalizing guest experiences and real-time data and AI-driven insights was also covered, proving essential in boosting guest satisfaction and loyalty. It was great to hear our friends from Sircle Collection, Bob W., and The Social Hub all speaking. Overall, we were incredibly impressed by the calibre of speakers and the effort MEWS went to ensure no single-use plastics were used, offering a fully vegan/vegetarian menu. While Mews supports their customers in running efficient tech, we were also pleased to learn how much they are considering sustainability. It was a brilliant event and we can’t wait to return next year. #MEWSUnfold2024 #HospitalityInnovation #SustainableHospitality #AIInHospitality #DataAnalytics #TechTrends

The Future of Hospitality Technology: What Lies Ahead?... The hospitality industry—hotels and restaurants alike—has always been about creating memorable experiences, but the way we deliver those experiences is evolving faster than ever. Over the next 5 years, I see three key trends reshaping the landscape: 1. Hyper-Personalization: Whether it’s a hotel guest receiving room recommendations based on past stays or a diner enjoying a curated menu tailored to their preferences, personalization is key. With AI-driven insights, businesses can better understand and anticipate customer needs, creating more meaningful interactions. 2. AI-Powered Operations: Artificial intelligence is becoming a game-changer across hospitality. For restaurants, AI can optimize menu planning and ingredient usage, while hotels benefit from predictive analytics for occupancy and resource management. At HorecaFox, we’re already exploring AI capabilities to streamline operations and are excited about its potential to drive efficiency across both sectors. 3. Sustainability through Technology: From reducing food waste in restaurants with smarter inventory management to hotels adopting energy-efficient solutions, technology will play a critical role in advancing sustainability initiatives. Digital solutions are helping the industry move toward greener, more responsible practices. At HorecaFox, we’re proud to partner with hotels and restaurants in 15+ countries to help them embrace the future of hospitality. The possibilities are limitless, and we’re thrilled to play a role in shaping the next chapter of this industry. How do you see technology—especially AI—reshaping the hospitality industry? Let’s discuss your ideas and experiences! #FutureOfHospitality #RestaurantTech #HospitalityTech #Innovation #Horecafox #AIInHospitality
