Today is officially the 22nd Anniversary of Phoenix Staff. Blows my mind to think that I was 32 when this started and at 54 it is still going and still growing. Not because it was ever in question that it could happen, but because it just wasn't a thought. Like a lot of entrepreneurs, you wake up and do the work and you hope that people like what you have to offer. There's always way too many people to thank because this doesn't happen without tremendous people in every phase of growth. Think about life over the past 22 years - all of those experiences from when it first started - clients declaring bankruptcy, self-doubt, a heart attack, family, friends and clients passing away, economic turmoil, pandemic, and just all the things! Survival through those things does NOT happen without a very solid support system. People who no longer work here got us through lots of tough stuff. Friends and family who are no longer here and relished to hear about all the tough stuff - got us through lots of it. I am grateful to everyone who has ever taken my call. Grateful to everyone who has ever worked here and incredibly grateful to what I consider to be the most solid team in this industry. Lauren Hauser (Redd), Matt Owens, Erin Quigley Broccolo, Kyle Marker, Mitchell Stokes, Joy Zhang, Chloe Macklin, David Valdivia, John Maher, Matthew West Special thanks to my wife Angelica Cortez-Plunkett who puts up with me and trusted that we would "figure it out" 22 years ago. Having someone who is supportive of the fact that life as a business owner hasn't ever equated to "more time to do cool things" has been a gift that I hope I have never taken for granted. Heartfelt thank you. I look forward to continuing to work for a whole lot longer doing the work that I love and am privileged enough to have discovered was my calling. #HappyAnniversaryToUs #LookingToBeBetter
