Obituaries about New Yorkers can be some of the best reading available. This obit about #Falco does not disappoint. The Eagle Owl escapee from the Central Park Zoo represented the spirit of New Yorkers in the best ways possible. “…Scrappy, Stubborn, Resilient…” The symbolism of this beautiful bird is a combination too. Eagle = power & transcendence & Owl = wisdom & intuition RIP #Falco #NYC #parkviews https://lnkd.in/erqpt4TP #nycrentalregulations #NYClandlords #peaceofmind #EnvironmentalTesting #RealEstateSafety #propertymanagement #preventativemaintenance #commercialrealestate #NYCPropertyManagers #realestateagent #trustedprofessionals #NYCRealEstate #PropertyOwners #RealEstateInvestors #ACP5Form #NYCConstruction #leadpainttesting

Mikjikj (Wood turtle, Glyptemys insculpta) is a focus of UINR's Maliamu'kik Msit Ko'kqmanaq program. The program leads research and conservation of species at risk and culturally significant species in Unama'ki. "Maliamu'kik Msit Ko'kqmanaq", which means "taking care of all our relations", weaves together knowledge from Elders, knowledge holders and community partners to identify important habitats and to foster our relationships with all species. This video highlights our work with Mikjikj, a species important in Mi’kmaw culture that was once abundant but is now listed as a species at risk. https://lnkd.in/gsfUXKyv

West Texas is known for big expansive country, cattle ranching, and hunting. There is a lot of rhetoric out there about how hunting doesn't really benefit anyone. Well we wanted to answer that exact question in West Texas. West Texas and the small towns that occur in West Texas heavily rely on hunting for the economies. It's the small towns that have the greatest needs when it comes to economic development, with every slice of the pie playing a pivotal role in the survival of that community. This episode in Connecting the Dots really shows the people that benefit from hunting, the economies that benefit from hunting, and the towns whose livelihoods depend on hunting. Connecting the Dots is a series that aims to show everything that comes from hunting: its impact, its benefits, its consequences.
