Always a joy to spend the day with Poppy Naylor - especially when we are taking the time to set our intentions for the year ahead and align our priorities with our long-term goals. A big theme of the day was the importance of developing strategies that stick - creating a clear path from defining the problem, setting your vision for the future and then, critically, have a clear action plan to turn your ambitions into reality. There are a myriad of reasons why strategy fails (and we’ll be talking more about these, and how to overcome them, in the coming weeks) but what’s certain is that a good strategy isn’t only visionary - it’s actionable and deeply aligned with the realities of your organisation. Get that right and it’s far more likely to stick. We’d love to hear - what are your biggest challenges and frustrations in making strategy stick?

Wrapping up 2024! No activities this week, but it’s the time of the year to thank all of you for being part of Bluo. We’re convinced that building a strong community of companies is the best way to get ahead in this competitive business landscape. Sharing information is key to this, be it best practices or business opportunities. We live in an ever-changing environment that constantly pushes us to rethink our strategies—whether it’s finding new customers or understanding what our clients need.   This year, we’ve seen the power of collaboration in action. Members of Bluo have connected to share knowledge, overcome challenges, and open doors to new opportunities. These connections are what set us apart—they create a network of trust and expertise that makes navigating the complexities of our industry not only easier but also more rewarding.   As we look to the year ahead, let’s continue to support each other by sharing insights, asking questions, and offering solutions. Together, we’re not just responding to change; we’re driving it. The opportunities are out there—it’s just a matter of pooling our individual efforts to make them happen.   Thank you for being part of this journey.
