"You keep saming when you ought to be changing"
Lee Hazlewood, "These Boots Are Made for Walking"
Well, no more... The time for change has arrived.
After founding Beliminal with a group of peers and friends eight years ago, I have decided to retire as a partner and head into the unknown. In a way, I heeded the "Be liminal!" advice and entered the liminal space where the old life is over and the new one is yet to begin - the domain of becoming.
As part of the Beliminal team, I have done and achieved much over the last eight years, including:
- Winning, working with, and adding value to many prestigious clients, some of them in new and unexpected business sectors including medical devices manufacturing and charity.
- Guiding and supporting technologists, bankers, underwriters, marketers, and auditors as they adopted and adapted agile and responsive ways of working, implemented OKRs, and grasped the principles and practices of product (as opposed to project) delivery.
- Evolving Beliminal into a future of work business through continuous experimentation, reflection, learning, and adaptation.
We lived through and survived some world-changing events such as Brexit, COVID, and the near-collapse of the UK economy, and rode the tide of Agility, now seemingly receding.
I wish my Beliminal partners and colleagues Susie Kablean, Mark Summers, Zia Malik, Tom Reynolds, Eben Halford, Alex Cortinas, and Clair Craven, and all of the trusted associates all the best for the future. I am confident Beliminal will continue to thrive and change the world of work for the better.
As for me, wish me luck and reach out if you need a friendly ear, a curious mind, and honest advice delivered in a non-violent way.
