The "buchette del vino" or wine windows are a cute feature of Florence that adds to the charm of this city. This one was the most elaborate that I saw, as some were very plain little wooden doors. It's a simple concept; knock on the window, wait for them to open, hand over £5 and get a glass of wine, then go on your merry way. It's the Italian version of buying a travelle r on a road trip. The windows can be found all over the city and originally, they would be located in a nobleman house to sell their wines, but you can also see them attached to restaurants such as this one. These windows meant that the wine seller didn't have to open a shop and therefore could avoid paying taxes. Fun fact: The windows are generally lower than "head height" not because they were a lot shorter back in the day but because they were built lower to help reduce the spread of the plague so that the customer and server wouldn't be face to face and breathing in each other's germy breath! A few points I always share with my peers: If you want to rate: how good a Chinese restaurant is, start by ordering a simple fried rice. how good a Western restaurant is, start by ordering a simple salad. how good a 'place' (be it a mall, parks or attractions) you visit operates, start by checking out the toilets. 'Pay attention to the smallest and simplest detail(s) as they make the 'biggest' difference (sometimes)!

The former home of Melbourne city hospitality icon Izakaya Den is set for a new chapter, with its lease to a new venue headlining a raft of deals as hospitality operators continue to reenergise the Melbourne CBD. Fitzroys’ Franklin Gikas and James Lockwood negotiated the lease of Basement 3, 114 Russell Street, which for 15 years was home to the famous Japanese venue Izakaya Den. It will become a new high-end Japanese restaurant and bar Miyazaki Gyu, specialising in Wagyu beef, open from 12pm until late, after being leased to an operator who has been in the hospitality business for, synergistically, 15 years. https://lnkd.in/gge9n73u #Fitzroys #RealEstate #Restaurant #PropertyNews

Great article! Thanks for sharing it Michael Elder! If you haven't "followed" or "connected" with Michael Elder yet, I highly recommend you do! He is always sharing stats and articles about the state and health of the San Antonio economy and local industries 👍
One of the strongest indicators that something special is happening in San Antonio is the remarkable economic turnaround and growth the hospitality industry has seen since the COVID-19 pandemic #sanantoniotx

Coming Soon! The video showcases what both companies do as a base. It’s rare when collaborating brands create unique, luxury experiences that further each other, rather then compete with one another. Wagyu Wine Clubs- Wagyu Wagons (Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. black Urus and Golden Huracan) to create upscale, mobile food and wine experiences is just one of those ways. But…. When you add the elevated beach/bonfire experiences that Blu Lite Bonfires creates with Wagyu Wine Clubs rare wine and foods, you get a new level of experience. An experience that creates next level team bonding for a special #mlb team. What helps takes this to another level, is blu lite bonfires ecological/philanthropic ethos of leaving the world and space that we use better off than when we left it. Every event they create, they comb and sift the beach of all trash and debris, for a truly natural and organic beach experience. This means they will clean up over 10,000 sqft of beach and sand for our upcoming event. They also host many beach cleanup events for their local communities. For all those looking for the next level of luxury. For more info about each company see links.
