Two weeks ago, the Partner Management team of Kaufland Global Marketplace met for a workshop in our Cologne office. 🏢 💪 A strong team means a strong service. 👉 In order to offer our sellers the best possible experience on our online-marketplaces, they give their best on a daily basis. 🙌 In the workshop, they developed new possibilities to make selling on our platform even easier. 🚀 #ShootForTheMoon After the workshop, they had their team event in order to not only grow the online-marketplaces but also as a team themselves. 🤩 Team spirit is important at Kaufland e-commerce - especially when a lot of colleagues are working remotely. Stealing from Ben Miller, IT'S SHOWTIME 📺!! I have the honour of presenting at Groceryshop Vegas on October 5th on the topic of 'what do intelligent organizations do to succeed in digital commerce?'. When we committed to sharing previously unseen research and intelligence into what true success in digital commerce means, we had started the process of creating something new, in collaboration with others, for the retail industry, so the timing was perfect. As if the team wasn't busy enough on this collaboration, we also took on a re-branding exercise, and a transformation of our website - all to be unveiled next week. Responding to market changes lead us to increasing PLŪKT e-commerce presence by 40%. Case: Last year we encountered first signs of independent design boutiques closing one after another. In Australia. For the past 4 years we have built close #relationships with more than 30 stockists around Melbourn area. The reason? 👀For one, chain retail stores now have sections of organic and premium products. According to our partners, they are quality enough to compete with independent stores. Models change. Strategies do, too. We are seeing similar patterns among our North America customers, too. E-commerce allowed us to take the situation under control, in some way, thus increasing presence by 40%. What a year 2024 has been📈🏆 A year ago, I was given the opportunity to focus on growing Au Vodka’s e-commerce business in the USA. Up until then, the USA was more of an afterthought as we were focused on the UK and European markets. I was hesitant at first looking at the numbers we were doing in the US, it did not look easy. But I took it on as a challenge. Fast forward 12 months, and I’m proud to share that we’ve achieved $3.3M in sales since January! To put it in perspective: last November, we did $100k, and this November, we hit $800k. This incredible growth wouldn’t have been possible without the team, countless sleepless nights, long-haul flights, and adjusting to the USA timezone. Some highlights from this year: 📈250% growth YOY 🍓🍍🍬Launched 3 new flavors and sold out within the first week 🥂Introduced 20+ merchandise & glassware items 🙌Grew from 10 orders a day to 300+. 👍Over 30 million post engagements through performance marketing 🛫Multiple trips to the USA to meet with partners and work out of the Atlanta HQ ⛏️A huge Black Friday with the gold mine opening in the USA It’s been an amazing journey, and I’m excited for what’s next in 2025.
