And the twelve points go to…
… douze points!
Being part of an international team does have its challenges. For one, we don't often find ourselves in the same room unless there's a pressing business reason for it. That's why when it does happen, we cherish every moment and make the most of our time together. From shared lunch breaks and dinners to brainstorming sessions and workshops, we collaborate on planning and implementing ideas while growing and developing our competences together.
Speaking of development, this year we've decided to deepen our understanding of key technologies shaping our world today and in the near future: from data to virtual reality, from cyber security to platforms, etc. We've enrolled in the Tech Foundations course on Pluralsight, consisting of twelve units/topics, aiming to cover them together, at least one per month.
This time, we focused on 5G and IoT. We watched the video, discussed it, and finally took the test to assess our knowledge. Although we were in the same room, the test is done individually, as questions and answer options vary. To pass, one needs at least 12 points out of 15. And to our delight, each team member achieved just that.
Considering it's Eurovision week and both Baltic countries represented in our team (Latvia and Lithuania) made it to the final, receiving twelve points feels especially symbolic and rewarding. Even if our countries weren't in the Eurovision final or if someone from the team didn't score 12 or more points, I'd still like to award douze points in true Eurovision fashion to Eglė Aidetytė, Simona Česnakaitė, Rasa Degutienė, Julija Jansone, and Reinis Ruks for their outstanding performance in the highly competitive employer branding market in the Baltics.
Bravo and thanks for being such a wonderful team 💚.
