I've noticed one thing every top performing client has in common. They have a team or person entirely dedicated to automation. This is what is looks like for different sized companies: Mid to large companies: - have a dedicated team for automation. - have an executive sponsor. - Involve all business SMEs to ensure business use case coverage. Small companies: - have a dedicated individual for automation. - document to not lose momentum if person above leaves company. - involve top performers and SMEs for buy-in and adoption. You might be thinking how could we afford to have someone or a team dedicated to automation? Most clients that do this expand the team with time. The ROI and business impact greatly exceeds the investment. This isn't the only thing that needs to be done to optimize automation. But it's a great start.
