Today June 21, Teoresi takes part in the public presentation of the new flagship project “CCAM4Italy and Model4Italy as Digital Twins” at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples, as part of activities of MOST - Centro nazionale per la mobilità sostenibile. The project aims to establish a national network of research infrastructures, accredited labs, living labs, and vehicle platforms to develop, test, and certify CCAM solutions, digital twinning, and smart infrastructures. Our President and CEO Valter Brasso will share the role of Teoresi, focusing on developing a telematic box for vehicle-infrastructure data exchange and setting up one of three living labs at the Mostra d’Oltremare to test autonomous and connected vehicle technologies. As part of his summer tour, Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, stopped off at Paderborn Town Hall this morning to learn more about the NeMo.bil project 🚗, which is receiving 17.1 million euros in funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection. The project aims to create an 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 that will serve as a beacon for the whole of Germany, enabling a new form of sustainable and demand-oriented passenger and freight transport in rural areas 🌱. dSPACE is a consortium partner in the project: Our task: To develop a practical and standard-compliant validation and verification (V&V) concept for the entire product development process🛠️. In addition, dSPACE is developing a concept for an interdisciplinary work package test strategy that ensures fleet validation during development by selecting suitable test instances and methods. In front of Paderborn Town Hall, our dSPACE colleagues Wanghanzhe Chen, Nora Harlammert, and Ursula Kemper showed what our contribution looks like beyond the concept work: A MicroAutoBox is integrated in the vehicles. Perception and driving functions are simulated and visualized with our #AURELION software 🖥️. Dear Andrei Buzatu: I am skeptical about using cars as public transportation. In my view we need to think of more sustainable buses and trains. Finally the autonomous ride sharing is for maximum 4 people and no more. I think the US paradigm of cars now followed by many countries is not the best solution for human mobility or mobility of merchandise. We need to think of sustainable transportation of more people and the better solution is sustainable buses and trains. Cars in many cities even if sustainable and autonomous are so many that traffic won’t stop included crowded streets

LEGISLATION: U.S. Department of Transportation releases deployment plan for #V2X technologies #USDOT has published 'Saving Lives with Connectivity: A Plan to Accelerate V2X Deployment', which outlines its vision and specific milestones for the deployment of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology. The plan, initially released in draft form for public comment last year, is "focused on #roadsafety, #mobility, and efficiency through #technology that enables vehicles and wireless devices to communicate with each other and with roadside infrastructure", USDOT says. “The department has reached a key milestone today [August 16] in laying out a national plan for the #transportation industry that has the power to save lives and transform the way we travel,” said US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. “The department recognizes the potential safety benefits of V2X, and this plan will move us closer to nationwide adoption of this technology.” “Today’s release establishes clear objectives for future public and private investments in V2X in US road transportation networks,” said John Kwant, executive director, Americas, at the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA).
