On the occasion of the 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚, many people are highlighting their activities, which is undoubtedly a positive step. However, the fundamental question remains: Why does disability occur? Understanding the root causes of disabilities and taking steps to prevent or address them is our collective responsibility: 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚, 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐨, 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫, 𝐞𝐭𝐜: These are often hereditary or preventable conditions that can persist across generations. Without timely treatment or preventive measures, they can lead to significant challenges. Raising awareness and conducting screening campaigns are essential to tackle these issues. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬:  Awareness must be spread in 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬, and everywhere else where branding is done. Utilize 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬, 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬, 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐬 to share impactful messages about disability awareness, helping people understand its importance. Organize workshops and seminars to educate people on how they can create better opportunities and facilities for individuals with disabilities. Day 14 of #DwarfismAwarenessMonth For years, I faced inaccessible public spaces, feeling inferior and embarrassed: - Chairs too high - Tables out of reach - No ramps or elevators - Excuses like "you're not our regular customer" But I refused to hide. I decided to advocate for change, visiting a new hotel/restaurant monthly, demanding better access. *Why?* Because isolation only perpetuates exclusion. *What can you do?* Join the conversation: Share your accessibility experiences!
