Intentional acts require intentional follow up. So, plant a tree! This goes to a greater point: there are so many opportunities for us to help a planet that has provided us with countless resources. 🍁 As I pause to reflect on this #CanadianThanksgiving, my heart is filled with immense gratitude for each of you in my network. There are too many to mention by name, but know that you are all #trailblazers —people I admire and deeply respect. This year, I sincerely thank you not just for accepting my connection but for something more significant. Two years ago, I embarked on a bold journey: to channel my passion for antique beads into leading the decarbonization of the semi-precious jewelry industry. My goal was, and still is, to tackle climate change within this space—after all, with 40,000 years of beads in existence, do we truly need more? Transitioning from my pharmaceutical career was significant and, at times, daunting—filled with doubt and uncertainty. But your encouragement, likes, comments, and trust—by attending my events and offering invaluable feedback—have made all the difference. You’ve helped turn what was once daunting into something genuinely empowering. So, never underestimate the power of your actions. As a baby boomer, I’m keenly aware of how much we’ve benefited from the hard work and sacrifices of the Greatest Generation. They faced tremendous challenges and helped shape the modern America we live in. Now, I find myself wondering about the kind of country we’re leaving for our kids and grandkids. Will they have the same opportunities we had? I’m deeply grateful for the life we’ve built here and proud to be part of this nation. Some of our greatest collective achievements include: 🟢 Supporting the implementation in 4 of the 11 states that now provide Food Is Medicine coverage 🟢 Reaching over 500,000 community health workers who serve 61 million people with climate-conscious health surveillance tools 🟢 Mobilizing over $1 billion through the Zero Gap Fund 🟢 Advancing the first coal-to-clean transitions by signing an MOU with GenZero, Keppel, and ACEN Corporation From The Rockefeller Foundation team to you, we say thank you for everything that you do.
