If you wonder how to attract and retain great talent, book your space at Sarah Uldal ‘s webinar about the 4 day week.
Norwegian Partner 4 Day Week Global 🌎 ICF-coach helping clients reconnect with calm and clarity. Mindful productivity junkie! Podcast: Bra jobba!
Gleder meg til fredag, påmelding finner dere her 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/dfc3d8BP

How does a company from the Faroe Islands make it into the top 20 of Slush 100? 🤔 Step one: Secure a spot in the top 100 out of 1000+ applicants – no pressure 😅 Step two: Create a pitch deck that outshines at least half of the competition – still no pressure 😬 Step three: Bring in some professional help for the pitch video to really stand out – that’s where Jørgen from LittleManShouting came in 😌 From fumbling with lines to holding up a public elevator (oops), creating the video was full of unexpected challenges and fun moments. But thanks to Jørgen’s expertise, he turned those rough takes into a polished, professional final product – and it paid off! We made it to the top 20 and onto stage at Slush 🥳 Huge thanks to everyone who supported us along the way – from cheering us on to lending a helping hand. We couldn’t have done it without you 🤗 Also, shoutout to Kalle Kahanpää for taking care of us on stage and making a cameo in this video 😉 We hope you enjoy this behind-the-scenes glimpse as much as we enjoyed making it 😆

Brevity may not shine in this post, but the experience certainly did! Recently, I had the fabulous opportunity to represent the GIRLS mentorship program at the Chicago Women in Philanthropy's (CWIP) annual luncheon, where I spoke alongside a phenomenal young lady. Capturing the attention of 550ish women dedicated to tackling some of the world's greatest issues was an honor. The event was a wild success, and I want to commend the committee that made this happen. Many of us know how to rock many hats, especially in this sector. Executing an event of this size, at this level, on a volunteer basis is no small feat. Congratulations to these highly dedicated women on your success. Joining the GIRLS committee in 2021 and helping to build this mentorship program brings immense joy. Pouring into the next generation, as I see it, is an act of love and, in many ways, an act of protest. There is power in community, learning from one another, upskilling, and cultivating new norms like empathetic leadership. My mentee, we'll call her C, is extraordinary. She has a fire in her that's representative of so much more. Instinctually, I want to fiercely protect that light while building more stages for her to shine. Realistically, she needs the space and nourishment to let her wildfire roots spread. She embodies the unmatched potential within all young girls when given the room to discover and bloom. While progress moves slowly, organizations like CWIP give us something tangible to tap into and reinforce a sense of connectedness. Strengthening how we see each other, help each other, and interact with one another remains crucial. We need more acts of service in today's world. Inspiring others to volunteer, educate, and get more involved remains a form of impact that can't be overlooked. As I've grown and continue to evolve, I put much thought into how I want to spend my time. To me, it's as much about setting examples for the next generation/s as it is about energizing the adults around me. C exists as an imprinted example of our innate human ability to connect authentically and draw countless parallels despite divergent experiences. She reinforces why we must walk the walk, in addition to any megaphone we may hold. One hand forward, one hand back; fingers entwined. Imagine the impact we'll create. 💌

Serving on a professional panel is a big opportunity. It’s a chance to showcase your expertise, network, and contribute to industry dialogue. How can you take advantage of it? First, make sure to prepare. You should understand the host and their goals for the event, including the topic of discussion and what areas they’d like to focus on. It’s also useful to research the other panelists and audience to see where you each connect (or don’t). I You should have three to five talking points you want to make throughout the event, and cater them to the demographic of the audience. On the day of the event, show up early and connect with the moderator. Stick to the main subject matter and avoid going off on tangents. Be respectful to other panelists by allowing them time to talk, and send a thank-you note to organizers a couple days after.
