Electrical conduit provides very good protection to enclosed conductors from impact, moisture, and chemical vapors. Varying numbers, sizes, and types of conductors can be pulled into a conduit, which simplifies design and construction compared to multiple runs of cables or the expense of customized composite cable. Wiring systems in buildings may be subject to frequent alterations. Frequent wiring changes are made simpler and safer through the use of electrical conduit, as existing conductors can be withdrawn and new conductors installed, with little disruption along the path of the conduit.

Currently, we’re focused on blowing strings through all our conduits to prepare for Saturday’s concrete pour! This step is essential to confirm each stub-up is at the correct height above the finished floor, as concrete will soon cover our underground work. By threading strings through each conduit, we’re setting the stage to pull the ropes and, eventually, the wiring back through – all while keeping the pipes clear of any water buildup. As we finish the under-slab conduit work, our team is getting ready to swab out the pipes, pull ropes through, and gear up for the next phase of wire pulling. After Saturday’s pour, we’ll be seeing steel set up soon, and once everything’s dried in, it’ll be time to bring in the switchgear, distribution panels, automatic transfer switches, and UPS. Prefabrication has been key for both the underground slab and will continue to be with our overhead racks, helping us keep on track for a smooth transition to the overhead phase. Stay tuned as we move forward with this exciting project! www.designelectricinc.com #ConstructionProgress #ElectricalContracting #ConduitWork #UndergroundUtilities #StringingConduit #ElectricalInstallation #Prefabrication #BuildingWithPrecision #ProjectMilestone #ConstructionUpdate #TeamworkInAction #FutureReady #SwitchgearSetup #ConstructionLife #PoweringProgress #SitePreparation #ElectricalTeam #ReadyForNextPhase

What is Slotted channels? Slotted channels are metal channels with slots or holes punched into them. These slots allow for easy attachment and adjustment, making them versatile for various construction and support applications. They're commonly used in: HVAC systems for supporting ductwork. Electrical installations to secure cable trays. Structural support in building frameworks. They're typically made from materials like galvanized steel or stainless steel to ensure durability and resistance to corrosion. Slotted channels are a real game-changer in making construction simpler and more flexible.

Don't under estimate the need for heavy steel systems in building services! 💪🏼 🏗 While standard strut products might seem sufficient, there are situations where they can fall short. Traditionally, welded steel systems were the go-to solution. But with the rise of modular systems, delivering projects faster and more efficiently is now within reach. 👍🏼 Here's when you might need a heavy frame support system like Maxx: 🔧 Plant Rooms or Energy Centres without solid ceilings 🚶🏼♂️ Multi-service corridors or tunnels 🔌 Utility risers with large cross-section areas 🏭 High-load rooftop plant installations. 🌉 Service bridges or support columns spanning buildings. Embrace the future of building services with Maxx! 🤗 Read our blog to learn more on the advantages of using modular steel frames in M&E installations! 🛠 ⚡ https://bit.ly/4d3YJl4 #buildingservices #mechanical #electrical #installations #projects #heavysteel #modularsystem #walraven #maxx

You should ALWAYS perform Integrity Testing with Electronic Leak Detection right before the building handover. Why? Here’s the breakdown: 🚧 Post-waterproofing installation, your roof will face intense activity, and this for weeks/months. 🛠️ Non-roofing contractors can accidentally damage the roof and the waterproofing integrity. 🕵️♂️ ELD testing before handover detects repairs needed, making sure your roof is leak-free. I personally believe the process for roof Integrity Testing should be as follow: 1️⃣ Integrity Testing with ELD along other checks (drains, flashings,..) 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 2️⃣ Integrity Testing with ELD after completion of all works on the roof, 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 3️⃣ Integrity Testing with ELD along other checks 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 for Preventive Maintenance By following this process, I am certain you can prevent leaks and increase the durability of your building. 👉 Follow for more insights on ELD, roofing technology, and maintenance tips! #electricleakdetection #construction #architecture #design #maintenance #waterproofing"
