It's been 9 months since I co-founded OL Consulting on 12 March 2024. To our clients and partners, my family, co-founder Marcus Liew and team members, I'm deeply grateful for the trust, the support, and most importantly, the friendship that define our work. Life for the past 5 years has been one hell of a ride (borne by my own actions). As we kickstart a new year, the majority of us tend to celebrate successes. However, I'd like to celebrate the failures and challenges I've faced (and caused) for they serve as stronger poignant life lessons: 1. Family is always number 1. Their love is unconditional. 2. Difficult times reveal true friends. Treasure them. 3. Be humble. Your life can undergo 180 degrees change overnight. 4. No one is indispensable in an organization. 5. Everyone deserves a second chance. Offer one if you can for you never know when you will need one. 6. Talk less, gossip even lesser. The person across the table listening to you may be the best friend / "brother" of the person you're "shit-talking" about. 7. Everyone has a story. If you can't bother to empathize and offer a helping hand, at least don't judge or even worse, gossip. 8. Success cannot be achieved alone. 9. The greatest growth comes after pain. 10. Last, do not give up. Life will throw you curveballs. Have that tenacity and grit to come back stronger. You only fail when you quit. Don't get me wrong - I regret every single second my past actions. However, as much as I yearn to turn back time, it is impossible, and life goes on. Armed with these failures and life lessons, I am excited to continue hustling alongside our clients towards collective success. For those who are struggling out there, stay strong and optimistic, and may 2025 be better than 2024!
As we kickstart 2025, we would like to celebrate both the challenges and successes that our clients, partners and we have faced in 2024. To all our clients and partners, thank you for giving us the opportunity to be part of your growth journey, and we are very excited to continue supporting you towards greater success in 2025! Happy New Year, and may 2025 bring greater success, good health, and happiness!

My blog from two years ago: Happy to share the journey if it even makes a 1% difference in encouraging others. https://lnkd.in/gGMxguyt Update since the above blog. Things have progressed with work and health for the better. No matter how ‘big or small’ your achievements are, they are just that: achievements to be proud of and a stepping stone for more. My message: keep going, health, family, friends and humanity first, and hard work, resilience, tests and challenges bring success.

Transform Your Habits: Harness the Power of Travel #HealthspanMicroMoments ✈️🌟 Happy Friday #Health and #Wellness Enthusiasts! This week's #HealthspanMicroMoments is inspired by the recent 4th of July holiday, when according to NbcNews a record number 71million people traveled across the country. #Travel is not just a time for relaxation and exploration, but also an excellent opportunity for creating or changing #habits. Why It Matters: When you travel, your usual routines and environments are disrupted, making it a perfect time for behavioral change. According to behavioral scientists, this 'disruption' can actually make it easier to establish new, healthy habits or break old ones. The change in scenery and routine reduces the power of old cues and habits, providing a fresh slate to implement positive changes. How to Practice: Next time you travel, use the opportunity to start a new healthy habit. Whether it's incorporating a morning walk, practicing mindfulness, or choosing healthier meal options, the new environment can make it easier to stick to these changes. Your Challenge: Reflect on a habit you'd like to change or start. During your next trip, commit to practicing this habit every day. Share your travel habit-change stories in the comments below or repost to inspire your network. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿? For me, it’s been the gift of time and restoration. It wasn’t something I expected, and it certainly didn’t come wrapped in a bow—it came wrapped in necessity. This year, I made the tough decision to step away from my role in healthcare leadership at an organization I served for over 18 years. As much as my ego resisted admitting it, I was burnt out, physically and emotionally, and morally injured. I knew something had to change; I just didn't expect my health to initiate it. Healthcare leaders like us often carry so much— our teams, our patients, our personal and professional responsibilities. We’re constantly showing up for everyone else, as our mission-driven hearts compel us to. But how often do we stop and ask: When do I show up for me? I kept kicking the question down the road... to when this crisis is over, or when that initiative is complete, or, or, or... Slowing down felt impossible at first. My identity was intertwined with what I 𝘥𝘪𝘥, not who I 𝘸𝘢𝘴. When that fell away, I had to face a hard truth: I wasn’t really living. I was surviving. And that’s not how I wanted my story to go. What I’ve realized is this: 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱. And even if we’re lucky enough to see it, showing up frazzled and depleted isn’t really living either. This year, I’ve started something new— finding my way to greater, holistic resilience and helping others do the same. It’s been humbling, but also deeply rewarding, to know that leaders like us don’t have to keep running on empty. We can find a way forward, one step at a time. As we celebrate this holiday season, my hope for you is that you take a moment—just one—amidst the chaos to 𝙗 𝙧 𝙚 𝙖 𝙩 𝙝 𝙚, recharge, and really be present with yourself. With every breath you take, you are a new person. With every breath, you have the chance to begin again. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿? Wishing you a holiday season replete with joy, peace, and good health! 🎄

Hey everyone, DJ here! Today, I want to share a personal story that highlights an important lesson in self-leadership. I've lived in Hawaii for over three years without needing my inhaler, enjoying the beautiful weather and fresh air. But recently, I had a surprise asthma attack while visiting Myrtle Beach. It was scary, and I felt completely out of breath. Luckily, I found an amazing doctor at CareNow who knew exactly what to do. Shoutout to the care team for saving the day! This experience taught me a valuable lesson about self-leadership: always be prepared, even if you think you've outgrown your challenges. In life and leadership, it's crucial to anticipate the unknown and prepare for the worst while hoping for the best. Self-leadership is about taking responsibility for our preparedness and resilience. It's about having the foresight to recognize potential risks and the discipline to take proactive measures. By staying vigilant and ready for anything, we can navigate unexpected challenges more effectively and maintain our well-being. So, let's commit to anticipating the unknown and being ready for whatever life throws. Remember, preparation is key to self-leadership and success. I am grateful for the quick and expert help I received! 🙏 #AsthmaAwareness #StayPrepared #HealthIsWealth #AsthmaAttack #AsthmaStruggles #InhalerLife #AsthmaWarrior #Healthcare #EmergencyCare #UrgentCare #MyrtleBeach #SelfLeadership #BePrepared #AnticipateTheUnknown #Resilience #ProactiveLiving

What if the best lesson we could teach our children isn’t just to dream of success, but to live a healthy, active life that leads them there? Yesterday, we kicked off 2025 in the best way possible—at the park with our furry family member, our daughter, and our son. You’d think, after the festive season, we might have had enough family time. But as I stood there, watching our kids race up and down on their bicycles, with our beloved dog joyfully chasing after them, I realized just how priceless these moments are. It solidified what the festive season was all about: celebrating family, loved ones, and the power of being present in life’s simple joys. But as I watched, my mind turned to the future. What lessons are we teaching our children today that will shape their tomorrows? For me, one message stood out loud and clear—a healthy, active life is the foundation of a successful life. At Curo Care, we believe this isn’t just a life lesson; it’s a mission. By prioritizing health and wellness, we enable families to live more fulfilling lives together, creating lasting memories and equipping the next generation to thrive. Because when we care for our health today, we open the door to all the possibilities of tomorrow. 💙 How are you starting the new year? What lessons are you passing on to your loved ones about health and success? I'd love to hear your thoughts! 💚
