Croatia in Thin Air Roman solders have sword fights and dolphins leap into viewers in 3D hypergram activations, otherwise knowns as holograms, at major travel intersections in London, Zurich and Munich. Croatian National Tourist Board has launched an Early Booking campaign at the Main Railway Station in Zurich, Westfield White City Center and Kings Cross Station in London, and the Pasing Arcaden Center in Munich, all centres of high passenger traffic. Kristjan Stanicic, director of the Croatian Tourism Board said: "Modern tourists are looking for new experiences, while at the same time, digitization sets high standards that we actively follow when implementing promotional activities towards our target public’. Holographic advertising is not a sci-fi any more, but is still novel enough to stop people in their tracks and admire the show, something that Croatians seem to have managed with HyperGram, the latest hologram technology providing 360 experience without screens or glasses. Holographic advertising can be powerful, even if its price and execution are known to be a struggle. As with all technology gimmicks, the early bird catches the worm. It would be interesting to see what the holograms deliver in terms of early bookings for Croatian holidays.
