Aero India 2025 Scheduled for Bengaluru from February 10-14 Aero India 2025, the 15th edition of the biennial #aerospace and #defense exhibition, will take place at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka, #Bengaluru, from February 10 to 14, 2025. The event is expected to bring together stakeholders from the global defense and aerospace sectors, focusing on partnerships, indigenization, and technology development. The first three days of the event are designated as business days, while February 13 and 14 will be open to the public. The program will include air displays, static exhibitions of #military platforms, and various business-oriented sessions. Key activities planned include a Defence Ministers’ Conclave, the CEOs’ Round-Table, and the Manthan start-up event. The Defence Ministers’ Conclave will discuss international defense collaboration under the theme "Building Resilience through International Defence and Global Engagement" (BRIDGE). Several bilateral meetings involving senior Indian defense officials are scheduled alongside the event to explore further opportunities for defense and aerospace collaboration. NASAMS is the world's best-selling short- and medium-range air defense system. With AMBITIONS for a "FULL-SPECTRUM" system, Norway wants to have the WORLD's BEST AIR DEFENSE SYSTEM. Today, the system can use three different missiles to shoot down threats such as drones, planes and helicopters at different distances, but not tactical ballistic missiles (TBM). Now they are also looking at new anti-drone systems, lasers and microwaves for very short distances. The mix of missiles makes it difficult for the opponent. NASAMS has proven to be highly effective in the Ukraine war. Norway and the USA have sent a number of systems to the country after Russia's invasion. From the piece: "DARPA has selected six of nine concepts studied under Phase 1A of the Ancillary program to proceed into the 10-month Phase 1B: AeroVironment, Griffon Aerospace, Karem Aircraft, Method Aeronautics, Northrop Grumman and Sikorsky. AVX Aircraft, Leidos/Pterodynamics and Piasecki Aircraft did not make the cut."

At this year's Black Sea Defence and Aerospace (BSDA) exhibition in Bucharest, South Korean company Hyundai Rotem displayed its combat-proven K2 Black Panther main battle tank. This is the company’s proposal for the Romanian land forces, but Hyundai Rotem’s approach to Romania includes deep industrial cooperation as well. A few days before the defence exhibition in Bucharest, a demonstration of the K2 tank took place at one of the Romanian land forces’ ranges. The tests included manoeuvrability and firepower demonstrations of the K2. "We are open to the cooperation with the Romanian defence industry. In addition to the delivery of tanks that meet the demands of the modern battlefield, as Romania requires industrial cooperation for MBT production, we could involve Romanian companies in the K2 tank programme, which will benefit the Romanian economy," Euiseong Lee, Head of Strategy for Global Market of Hyundai Rotem, told Defence Industry Europe during the BSDA exhibition.
