Empathy often begins with eye contact. A simple gesture such as taking sunglasses off while meeting parents and guardians can help build strong connections. While this may not be appropriate for all cultures, what are the little things you do to connect and build trust during camper check-in? #protip #sunglasses #eyecontact #empathy #relationships #trust #campdirector #programdirector #camppro #camp #summercamp #daycamp #camp #summerprep #stafftraining #summer2024

Parents are crucial to reinforcing swim skills at home. As soon as our students have a solid swim, parents get in! When you have two or more kids, it’s even more important learning how to work with their varying reinforcement schedules in the water, which is based on their age. #littleloggerheadsswimschool #swimfloatswim #aquaticsurvival #swimlessonssavelives #survivalswimlessons #drowningprevention #swimminglessons #littleloggerheads #swimlessons

There's nothing that works magic for my community members, or gets them to do as they're told like the words, "let's go kick ball outside!". This is one of my secret weapons 🤪, and I know just how to weild it to get the results I want. And I also need to work on their gross motor skills. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.🤣 Gross motor skills involve large movements for activities like running and jumping. Key milestones include: • 3-5 months: Rolling over. • 6-8 months: Sitting unsupported. • 9-12 months: Crawling • 12-18 months: Walking independently. • 3-4 years: Hopping, catching a large ball. Encourage development with these fun activities: 1. Obstacle courses. 2. Dance parties. 3. Simon Says. 4. Ball games. Remember to provide a safe environment for exploration! P. S. Peek our ship and is about to sail! All aboard!!! #childdevelopment. #grossmotorskills #earlyyears #earlychildhoodeducation #earlyyearseducator #earlyyearspractitioner #playwaylearning #playislearning

The journey of confidence through controlled independence. Can you see any comparisons? Both SwimFin and stabilisers are temporary tools designed to scaffold learning. They provide physical and psychological security, helping kids build strength, coordination, and most importantly, confidence. The ultimate goal is to wean them off these aids. With SwimFin, this progression feels seamless, as it naturally fades into the background as the swimmer’s technique improves. In both cases, the key is encouragement, patience, and celebrating milestones. Whether they’re balancing on wheels or swimming their first unaided strokes, your presence and praise will make all the difference. Let’s build their wings—whether they’re fins or wheels—and watch them soar! #earlylearning #preschoolactivities #earlychildhoodeducation #learningthroughplay #playmatters #invitationtoplay #letthembelittle #preschoolactivities #childhoodunplugged #growingconfidence #earlylearning #letthemplay #playbasedlearning #imaginativeplay #childledplay #raisingconfidentkids #growthmindset #positiveparenting #empoweringkids #selfassured #swimfin #swimmingaid
