Can #modernity harmonize with #tradition? Aya Nakamura certainly made a statement about it! 🌟 Just as her amazing performance at the Institut de France during the Paris 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony beautifully blended contemporary pop culture with France’s rich cultural heritage, companies today face a similar challenge. To thrive, companies must welcome new generations with their fresh perspectives, diverse backgrounds, and #innovative ideas. This doesn’t mean abandoning core values or traditions. Instead, it’s about creating a harmonious blend where tradition and modernity coexist and enrich one another. In her performance, she paid homage to traditional French culture while bringing her unique, modern and young flair. This seamless integration of old and new serves as a powerful metaphor for how organizations must evolve to cope with new generations. Funny as its sounds, but just as the French Republican Guards played music and vibed alongside. This highlights how tradition and modernity can create something truly special together. By embracing this balance, companies can foster an #inclusive culture that respects its identity while adapting to the needs and aspirations of today’s workforce. It’s a journey of #transformation that leads to a vibrant, dynamic workplace where everyone can thrive. What are your thoughts on blending tradition with modernity in today’s corporate world? Also in case you still haven’t watched the performance : https://lnkd.in/eR7-eMd2 #olympics #jo #paris2024 #inclusion #culture #france #innovation

Celebrating heritage and culture is about more than just remembering where we come from—it’s about fostering unity, understanding, and respect across the globe. When we honor our roots, like marching on Fifth Avenue for 14 years or performing on the red carpet, it becomes a powerful expression of identity. But it goes beyond individual pride; it becomes a symbol of shared humanity. Seeing myself on the cover of the Wall Street Journal isn’t just about being Italian. It's about sharing my soul, my passion for celebrating heritage, and my dream of a world without borders. It’s a vision where diversity is embraced, and cultures are celebrated, creating a future rooted in unity, peace, and mutual respect. These moments remind me that when we honor our past, we are also paving the way for a better, more inclusive tomorrow. Culture can be a bridge. By celebrating who we are, we invite others to do the same, leading to a collective journey towards acceptance and harmony. Evviva l’Italia!

Life is a tapestry of gold medal days and days we don't even rank. For those of you who regularly follow me, I make yoga references a bit. The added element of a heated studio often 98 degrees and humid is a whole other ballgame and mental and physical challenge. It is amazing how a seemingly simple pose like warrior 1 or 2 can change so much over the years. A super subtle movement, shift of my weight or activation of a different muscle completely changes the posture. The exercise of finding where I have space to lean deeper into a posture or activate my core that I had been relaxing keeps my brain and body firing and constantly improving. At the same time, without looking around the studio, I often assume I am the only one falling out of postures or not holding a perfect inversion. I tell myself no one but me made x mistake or hit a stamina wall. Right now it is my journey to fix that self-messaging and to stop being so hard on myself. The damn heat is hard enough. But how often do we do that? Give in to the voices that highlight our mistakes or tell us we won't make it to the podium? That's where grit comes it. It only takes one good day to medal and a lifetime to appreciate what we were born with. #womenleaders #grit The Female Quotient

Today, let's celebrate World Cultural Diversity Day ! On that day, I'm reminded of the bridges I've crossed and built along my journey across #cultures. Born and raised in the French countryside with an Italian heritage, I ventured to Sweden where the threads of my personal and professional life intertwined. I'm never as thrilled and energized as when I'm among a culturally diverse community as my work currently allows me at Scania Group Bridging cultures has been a #cornerstone of my life, teaching me invaluable #lessons: - Building Bridges: Just as a #bridge connects two shores, embracing cultural diversity has created #connections beyond borders that I cherish everyday in my professional and my personal spheres. - Collaborating in Diversity: Each culture I've encountered has been a pillar fostering my #understanding of culturally diverse perspectives. I experienced that, together, we are stronger and more resilient. - Navigating Complexity: Navigating cultural complexities requires foremost #curiosity, patience, and an open mind. Nothing comes by default, everything has to be explored and discussed to build a common ground. The book "The Culture Map" by Erin Meyer has been a guiding light for me offering insights that have deepened my self-knowledge as well as fine-tuned my communication and my interactions. Let's continue to build bridges celebrating the diversity brought by each culture 🤩 #CulturalDiversityDay #BridgingCultures #GlobalCommunity #Collaboration #DiverseTeams Find more information about the Cultural Diversity Day in the first comment 👇
